Abstract

239,242. Telefunken Ges. f³r Drahtlose Telegraphie. Aug. 30, 1924, [Convention date]. Frequency, changing.-In means for obtaining alternating current of a lower frequency from a source of higher frequency current by the use of iron-cored static transformers, a plurality of circuits arranged on a common core are made of such a character that their natural frequencies are related to each other by a straight line law. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1 in which the core is magnetized by a direct current, winding, the frequency of the generator circuit w is equal to the sum of the natural frequencies of the circuits w1 and w2. When direct current magnetisation is not employed, the frequency relationship w1+2w2=w may be obtained. When the frequency w1 is only slightly less than the generator frequency w, w2 may be a beat frequency. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that the frequencies w and w1 may be obtained in a single circuit tuned to the frequency w1 but acted upon by the. generator oscillations of frequency w. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
