Abstract

The baby's dummy has an attached cap 5 which opens out like wings to form the dummy base. The cap wings 5 may be opened by turning the ring handle 1 which also pushes up the teat 6. Preferably the base has internal threads 2 which lock the teat 6 in an open position when the ring handle 1 is turned. The cap wings 5 may have air filters 7, and the dummy may be made of plastic.

Description

DUMMY WITH ATTACEIED CAP
This invention relates to a baby's dummy with attached cap.
Babies' dummies are used worldwide as a soother for a child. They are packaged in all different ways; different shapes and sizes but are essentially the same original structure Comprising of a teat seated on a plastic base with a ring attached to the base.
Some dummies have lids, which are Filly removable from the dummy itself when dummy is in use and can be replaced when dummy is not being used.
Due to the fact that the lids are not attached to the dummy, the lids can often be lost or mislaid, therefore leaving the dummy's teat to be exposed for a period of time that germs may be contracted onto the actual teat.
According to the present invention there is a dummy encased in its cap which when opened, the cap then forms the base wings and can be closed shut when the dummy is not in use.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure I shows the side view of the dummy encased in its cap.
Figure 2 shows the front view of the dummy with cap opened to form the base and wings of the dummy when dummy is in use.
Referring to the drawing, the dummy comprises of a ring handle 1, interior grooves 2, interior base 3, exterior base 4, cap which splits into two wings 5, a teat 6 and air filters 7.
In order to open the cap 5, the ring handle I must be turned in an anticlockwise position.
This motion pushes the interior base 3 upwards along the interior grooves 2 forcing the cap wings and hinges 5 to open the cap 5 whilst turning and locking the teat 6 to front position ready for use.
To close the dummy the cap wings 5 can be pushed in an upward position whilst turning the ring handle 1 in a clockwise motion allowing the interior base 3 downwards until it is in itsbriginal position, partly encased within the exterior base 4 with the cap wings S covering and protecting the teat 6.

Claims (6)

1 A baby's dummy including an attached cap that when opened forms the dummy's base.
2 A baby's dummy as claimed in claim 1 where the ring handle is turned in a motion that opens the cap and pushes up the enclosed teat for use.
3 A baby's dummy as claimed in 1 and 2 that includes interior grooves allowing the rotation of the interior base to move upwards to reveal and lock the feat into place.
4 A baby's dummy as claimed in any proceeding claims including air HIters on the cap wings to allow sufficient airflow when dummy is use.
5 A baby's dummy, which is made Plastic.
6 A baby's dummy substantially as herein described and illustrated In the accompanying drawings.
