Abstract
An underwater observation window includes a transparent base 1, a buoyancy ring or other buoyant shape 2, preferably with handles 3, that can either be buoyant or firm. The buoyant part of the observation window 2, may be in any colour, pattern, or shape as may be the handles but the transparent base must be clear. The underwater observation window may be made of a plastics material.
Description
1 239 1956
UNDERWATER OBSERVATION WINDOW
The invention is an observation window, which can be used to watch fish in the sea while walking in the water.
I have not seen any other observation window except on air - beds, that have to be climbed on and lay flat with the face up to the clear area. My invention is more versatile and could be used by young and old alike, especially if for any reason goggles and snorkel cannot be used.
An object of this invention is to provide an observation window, hand held, so that it is easily moved about across the surface of the water.
Accordingly, this invention, when the buoyancy part is pressed firmly on the water, provides a dear view through the transparent base so that a clear picture is seen.
Preferably the invention is made from a plastics material.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows the top view of the whole of the observation window.
FIGURE 2 is showing the observation window cut in half.
As shown in Figure 1 the observation window comprises of a transparent base 1, supporting the buoyancy ring 2, with handles 3 on either side.
The buoyant part 2 is shown as a ring but this could be any shape or colour, so long as there is sufficient viewing area in the clear base 1.
Figure 2 shows the buoyancy ring 2, overlapping the transparent base 1, so that water should not flow over unless pressed too hard. The handles 3, are shown above the buoyancy part 2, so that they are easy to grasp.
Claims (6)
1. An underwater observation window including a buoyant part
2. An underwater observation window as claimed in Claim 1, where the buoyant
part could be any colour, pattern or shape.
3. An underwater observation window as claimed in Claims 1 and 2, where the handles on the top surface could be buoyant or separately made firm handles, or without handles.
4. An underwater observation window as claimed in Claim 3, where the base is transparent and could be any shape matching the buoyant part, so long as there is sufficient viewing area.
5. An underwater observation window as claimed in any preceding claim, which is made in a plastics material.
6. An underwater observation window substantially as herin described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
