Abstract

An opener for fluid contamination analysis monitors consisting of two parts, the opener comprises tapered pins C which engage a monitor and prise it open to separate the two parts, mounting holes allowing the opener to be mounted on a flat surface, and pin E which can be inserted into the monitor to push a pad and membrane for easy removal from the monitor.

INTRODUCTION
In early stage of aviation era, the cleanliness of aviation fuel was a concern of oil companies, started from chamois leader means of filtration up to 1 - 2 micron of filtration (end of 90 decade).
With all these improvement, still possibility of dirt being pumped into aircraft tanks is exist (mainly in third poor world countries).
Al though the standard of cleanliness have reached to it's highest level, but oil companies are still concern of fuel cleanliness improvement.
In 1 960s, millipore tests on aviation filtrations and pipeline was introduced to evaluate the amount of dirt in jet fuel that pass through filters. The recommended amount of dirt that aircraft engine can accept is 0.2 mall (llef. ASTM- D 2276).
This test called: GRAVIMETRIC TEST on monthly basis.
At later stage when aviation facilities have been improved, the test was dropped to 3 monthly and an alternative field colour metric test was
introduced on monthly basis (in 1970s). But since early introduction of
these type of tests, chemist and filling operators used to open Me monitor using coins or with edge of tweezers etc.. Which was damaging the monitor's edge.
MONITOR OPENING KIT,
To overcome this practice, a proper and a professional tool is introduced for opening the monitor with consuming minimum of operator's time.
DETAIL & OPERATION OF IlIE KIT This kit consist of: À Monitor opener (B) (See FIG.2). Ibis opener has two tapered pins (C) on either side, to open the monitor (A).
À Place the monitor (A), through the tapered pins (C) and push the monitor (A) forward with your thumbs gently (See FIO.2)

    A tool as claimed which can be made of stainless, Plastic material will replace the existing practice (Improper Manual Opening) for Millipore monitors.
