Abstract

A rotational-type waist and abdominal exercise and physical fitness apparatus in which a long rod 1 has a holding section 2 disposed at its center portion that provides for manual grasping and a press plate 3 attached to its rear extremity. The long rod 1 also has an internally formed hollow channel 11 leading up to an extremity and, furthermore, there is an elastic component 12 fastened to a cord 14 having a weight component 13 at one end, with the weight component hanging vertically out of the extremity at the front of the long rod. The user grasps the holding section with two hands and, furthermore, the press plate is postured against the abdomen, the waist, or held up in the air. Coordinated waist gyration and arm articulation then cause the weight component to circle around and when the weight component is rotating, the centrifugal pull on the elastic component is such that the greater the downward vertical pendular radial vector, the greater the pulling force. If the gyration of the waist and articulation of the arms continues along with the imposition of the press plate and holding force, this effectively exercises the abdomen and the waist. The present invention can also be equipped with a press plate having a resilient cushioning structure 30 and knobs formed along its surface, thereby producing a massage.

Apparatus - The invention herein relates to a rotational-type waist and abdominal exercise and physical fitness apparatus.
The apparatus has been researched and designed to conform with general household space limitations and economical considerations.
