Description

DISPLAY DEVICE
1. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention re'ates to display devices, which permit quick and ready replacement of an advertisement display subject or the like, such as a painting, an ink drawing, a photograph, a poster, etc. More particularly, the invention concerns display devices, which permit quick and ready replacement of such display subject as a painting, an ink drawing, a photograph, etc. according to the taste of a visitor or to match the installation place such as home, shop, etc., or of an advertisement display subject according to an advertisement patron change or an advertisement content change. As for the device construction, the devices permit maintaining neat and stable display state without fa l-down or deviation of the painting, ink writing, photograph, etc. and without possibility of peel-off of the advertisement display subject. 2. PRIOR ART
In the prior art, the replacement, if necessary, of a
painting, an ink writing, a photograph, etc. framed in a frame member, the frame -is first taken out from a wall surface, then it is disassembled into its components, i.e.,
a base plate, a painting subject, a mat framing the painting subject, a glass (or transparent syrthetlc resin) plate and a frame member, then the old painting subject is taken out, then the replacement painting, Ink writing, photographs, etc., is set on the base plate, then the frame is assembled again by making time-consuming accurate positioning of it, and finally the base plate and the most front frame member are coupled together into an integra frame by using coupling members. Th s operation requires great man-hour.
In the case of a signboard or the like, a wide and long poster preliminarily printed is bonded on tile surface of a signboard frame with a powerfu adhesive uniformly lest irregularities or peel-off should be generated. This operation also inevitably requ Yes great man-hour, and also requires prudence and skill.: In the case of the frame replacement, the operation is very cumbersome; that s, the frame is taken out from a I wall surface, then the painting is replaced by a disassembling operation, then the frame is reassembled by making accurate positioning, and finally the base plate and the frame member are made integral by using coupling members. Therefore, despite the fact that it is ideal to make tile painting subject replacement whenever required to
match the season, according to the taste of a visitor or for other reasons, in many cases this is not actually done due to its cumbersomeness.
In the case of the signboard replacement, lest the boncied poster is peeled off or has irregularities, it is necessary to apply adhesive uniformly to the poster back surface, and also air should be eliminated from the back surface side of the poster. Therefore, a bonding operation requiring prudence and skill should be made by an operator having special skill This means that the replacement of the advertisement requires great man-hour and much expenditure. For this reason, despite the fact that the replacement of the advertisement display subject leads to improved advertising effect, in many cases this is not made.
Up to date, a magnetically attachable magnetic sheet laminate for display has been developed, wh ch has a thickness of about 0.2 mm and comprises a thin-fl m-like magnetic sheet and an impression sheet constituted by a synthetic resin film and lamr.ated on one surface of the magnetic sheet. This magnetic sheet laminate permits very ready printing of a display subject such as a painting, an ink drawing, a photograph, an advertisement, etc. on the surface cuff the impression sheet with such printing machine as a copier, a printer, a plotter, etc. i]
In addition, with recent development of copying and i printing techniques, it has become possible to produce a display sub; ect, which is magnetically attachable and can be eroneous]y though. to be a real painting, ink draw ng, -
photograph, etc. or to be a clear and impressive advertisement poster or the like.

Reference numeral 10 designates a coating layer, which serves to improve the slip of the magnetic attachment surface of the magnetic sheet 2 and preventing the transfer of the display subject.
The display device 1 comprising the above components is assembled as follows. In the first place, the base plate 6 is secured to a wall or the like. Then, the magnetic sheet 2 bearing the irnpression sheet 3, which has tile drawing, ink writing, photograph, advertisement, etc. printed on one surface of it, is positioned and magnetically attached to the magnetic member 5 of the base plate 6. Then, the magnet 8 of the frame member 7, in which the glass or transparent synthetic resin plate 9 is fitted, is magnetically attached to the outer side of the magnetic sheet 2. In th s way, the display device 1 with the display subject framed therein as shown in Fig. 2 can be readily obtained. In this embodiment, the magnetic sheet 2 has a size, which is selected to be equal to or slightly greater than the inner size of the frame member 7, it is also possible that the size of the magnetic sheet 2 is slightly less than the inner side of the frame member 7.
Also, in case of dispensing with th.e glass or transparent synthetic resin plate 9, it is possible to magnetically attach and detach the magnetic sheet 2 with the frame member 7 held magr, etically attached to the magnetic member 5 of the base plate 6.
Figs. 5 to 7 shows a second embodiment of the display device according to the invention. In. this display device
ll, a mat 12 is interposed between the display subject 4 Stud the glass or transparent synthetic resin plate 9 in the frost embodiment of the display device 1. This mat 2 is formed from a thick paper board by cutting cf a window portion, which corresponds to the display subject 4 such as the painting, ink drawing, photograph, advertisement, etc. so that the display subject 4 can be seen through the window. The mat 12 thus frames and shows up the display subject 4. While the mat 12 may be provided on the inner side of the frame member 7, ii may also be clamped between the magnet 8 in the back side of the frame member 7 and the magnetic member 5 of the base plate 6 if it is thin enough.
Fig. 8 is an actual arrangement of the second embodiment. In this example of the display device 11, a magnet 13 is provided on the back surface of the base plate 6. With the magnet 13 provided on the back surface of the base plate 6, the device 11 can be readily magnetically attached to the wall surface, which is preliminarily provided with a magnetic member surface of a steel partition or the like.
Fig. 9 shows a third embodiment of the display device according to the invention. In this display device 14, a display sheet 15 which bears a display subject such as a painting, an ink writing, a photograph, etc. is a paper or
synthetic resin sheet without any magnetically attaching property. A magnetic member 17 which is capable of being magnetically attached to a magnet mounted on a frame meber 7, is disposed on only the edge of base plate 16 on the side of the frame member. The display sheet 15 is secured to the base plate 16 via such Intervening members as a mat 12 in contact with the edge of the display sheet 15 and glass or transparent synthetic rein plate 9.
Again In this embodiment, like the previous embodiments, it is possible to quickly arid readily replace the display subject.
Fig. 10 shows a fourth embodiment of the display device according to the invention. This display device 18 concerns a signboard 20, which is to be installed as outdoor or like display and has a magnetic surface l9 of steel or the like. The signboard 20 is a laminate, in which an impression sheet bearing an. impression of an advertisement is laminated on a magnetic sheet, and it is detachably magnetically attached. The laminate comprising the impression sheet and the magnetic sheet, as in the previous embodiment, is obtained by laminating a thin-fiLm-
like impression sheet 3 constituted by a paper or synthetic resin film with a thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm on one surface of a thin-film-like magnetic sheet 2 with a thickness of
0.] to O.2 mm. An advertisement is printed as display subject 4 on the surface of the impression sheet 3 by using a plotter or the like. A double-side bond Ape 22 with peei-off sheet 21 is applied to the edge of the other surface, i.e., magnetic attachment surface, of the magnetic sheet 2.
The display device 18 having the above construction is assembled as follows. In the first place, the double-side bond tape 22 with peel-off sheet 21 is applied to the edge of the magnetic attachment surface of the magnetic sheet 2, on which the impression sheet 3 with the advertisement displayed on the surface is laminated. Then, the magnetic sheet 2 with peel-off sheet 21 is roughly positioned arid magnetically attached to the signboard 20 with the magnetic surface 19 of steel or the like. Then, for accurately positioning it to the signboard 20 and mounting it thereto, t is partly peeled off the magnetic surface 19 of the sideboard 20 and moved. When the display subject Ifs accurately positioned, the peel-off sheet 21 of the double-
side bond tape 22 is peeled off while a little peeling off the edge of the magnetic sheet 2 lest the magnetic sheet 2 should be deviated in position. The double-side bond tape 22 Is applied one side after another, for instance. Such display device 18, even installed in an outdoor place
subject to rains and winds, is free from such possibility that the end of the magnetic sheet 2 is tore or peeled off by winds, anti the display subject can be steadily provided.
In addition, since the magnetic sheet 2 is bonded only along its edge, when it becomes necessary JO change the advertisement display subject, the magnetic sheet 2 car, be quickly and readily peeled off the signboards 20, and the display subject can be readily replaced.
Aithogh not shown! it is conceivable in the case of a large signboard to form a single display subject by applying together a plurality of magnetic sheets. In this case, it is required to accurate y make not only the positioning of the magnetic shee' to the signboard but also the display matching of adjacent magnetic sheets. In this embodiment of the display device 18, in the assembling method as described above the double- side bond Cape is positioned with the peel-off sheet held attached to it, and then it is bonded by peeling off the peel-off sheet. Thus, it is possible for any one to accurately make the positioning and display matching.
In the double-side bond tape 22, it is preferred to set the adhesion of the adhesive O.1 the side of the magnetic surface l9 to be less than the adhesion of the adhesive on the side of the magnetic sheet 2. By so doing,
the double-side bond tape 22 c.,n be readily peeled off when replacing the display subject. In addition, it is possible to prevent the adhesive to remain on the magnetic surface lo, thus alleviating the very timeconsuming operation of removing the remaining adhesive after the peel-off.
Fig. l shows a fifth embodiment of the display device according to the invention. In this display device 23, the display member is a vehicle 24 such as a car, a train, etc. (a car in this embodiment) having a magnetic surface, and a magnetic sheet with a display subject is provided on the body of the car. The magnetic sheet as laminate with the display subject, like the preceding third embodiment of the display device 23, is obtained by laminating a thin-film-
l.ke impression sheet 3 on one surface of a thin-film-lie magnetic sheet 2 and printing an advertisement display subject 4 on the surface of the impression sheet 3 by using a plotter or the like. Moreover, a doubleside bond tape with peel-off sheet is applied to the edge of the other surface, i.e., magnetic attachment surface, of the magnetic sheet. In this embodiment, three.,agnei sheet laminates are used +'om The consideration of the disposition of doors of the car and so forth.
This display device 23 is assembled as follows. In the first place, a magnetic sheet laminate bearing the
double-s de bond tape with peel-off sheet is positioned with respect to a 'ap part of One impression tape 3, and is magnetically attached. 'I'hen, the adjacent magnetic sheet laminate is magnetically attached by pcslt oning it with respect to the display of a lap parts of the impression sheet 3. The magnetic sheet laminates are successively magnetically attached by peeling off the peel-off sheets of the double-side bond tapes on their back side with the mark displays of their impression sheets 3 in right positions.
Thus, it 1s pose ble for any one to complete the display member without need of any professional skill. In addition, since the display device accordr.g to the invention has flexibility, it is possible to set the display member appropriately on even a body having Irregular or curved surfaces without shrinkage or stress generation.
In the prior art frame replacement, the frame member
is removed from wall surface or the like, the painting or the like is replaced by the disassembling operation, and finally the base plate and the frame member are made integral by using a coupling member. This replacement operation is very cumbersome. Therefore, despite that it :is ideal to replace the painting or the like whenever desired for every season, according JO the taste of a visitor and for other reasons, in many cases no replacement
is wade due to cumbersomeness at the Time of replacement.
According to the invention, it is possible to provide a frame, which permits simple, quick and ready replacement of the display subject such as a painting, an ink writing, a photograph and so forth to match the season or the place of disposition or according to the taste of a visitor.
In case of providing not only the base plate front surface and the frame member back surface but also the base plate back surface with a magnet capable of being magnetically attached to the steel or like magnetic member surface, the frame can be readily magnetically attached to a wall surface, wh.icl is preliminarily provided with a surface of a magnetic member such as a steel partition member, without use of any hook or like attaching member for securing the frame to the wall surface.
in the case of a signboard, in order to uniformly coat adhesive to the back surface of the poster and also precluding air from the ba k side of the poster lest the bonded poster should have irregularities, a prudent and skilled bonding operation by are operator having special skill is necessary. The replacement of the advertisement thus requires great marhours and much expenditure.
Therefore, despite the fact that the advert sing effect can be improved by replacing the advertisement display subject,
In many cases no replacement is made. According Lo the invertor, when it becomes necessary to change the advertisement display subject, any one can quickly and readily rep' ace the poster or the like without need of conventional professional ability.
In the case with the display member constituted by a vehicle such as a car, a train, etc., a magnetic sheet laminate having an impression sheet surface widen an advertisement displayed thereon is detachably magnetically attached to a magnetic surface of the vehicle. Thus, the i replacement of the advertisement display subject, when necessary, can be made quickly and readily, and the i advertising effect can be provided more efficiently. i Furtherrr.ore, by applying tr.e double-side bond tape with peel-off sheet to the edge of magnetically attaching surface of the magnetic sheet laminate with the advertisement displayed on the impression sheet surface, is possible to move and position the magnetic sheet laminate magnetically attached to the display member by utilizing the magnetically attaching action of the detachably attachable and Provable magnetic sheet laminate and then bond the double-side bond tape by peeling off the peel-off sheet. Thus, any one can quickly, readily and accurately position the magnetic sheet laminate without
need of any conventional professional skill.
Still further, when forming a large-size advertisement display subject such as an advertisement poster with a plurality of continuous magnetic sheet -laminates with an advertisement displayed on the impression sheet surfaces, by applying a double-side bond Ape with peel-off sheet to the edge if the magnetically attaching surface of each magnetic sheet laminate, it is possible to move anci position the magnetic sheet laminates magnetically attached to the display member by utilizing the magnetically i attaching action of the detachably attachab e and movable magnetic sheet laminates and then bond each double-side i bond tape by peeling off the peel-off sheet. Thus, any one i can quickly and readily and accurately,.e., without deviation, match adjacent magnetic sheet la. lnates without need of any conventional professional skill.
As for the adhesive of the double-side bond tape, in order that the tape can be easily peeled off from the magnetic surface of steel or the Pike and that no adhesive remains on the magnetic surface, the adhesion of the adhesive on the magnetic sheet surface side is set to be less than the adhesion of the adhesive of the magnetic surface side. By so doing, the double-side bond tape can be readily peeled off at the time of the display subject
replacement. Also, it is posslo.'e to e'imlcate any adhesive remaining on the magnetic surface and alleviate a very time-consuming opera'ion of removing any remaining adhesive after the peel-off.
