Abstract
A bicycle generating system comprises a wheel axle 1 carrying a permanent magnet 31, a split hub 2 accommodating a generating system 3 and a wheel frame 4 having a plurality of transparent chambers 51. The outer rim of the hub is formed with a plurality of posts 23 with holes for wires 33 to extend from the coil 32 and the generating system may be sealed within the hub. The chambers 51 accommodate electric components connected to the wires. The structure 4,51 protects the electric components from the forces associated with the tyre of the wheel..
Description
TITLE: BICYCLE GENERATING SYSTEM
Field of the Invention
This relation relates to a bicycle generating system, more particularly to a bicycle with light enable to blink for safety and attractive reasons.
5 Background of the Invention
Conventional bicycles are equipped with lighting devices, which are attractive and provide a safety purpose to users, and its structure comprises a generating device located in an axle of a wheel. The generating device includes a magnet secured to the axle and an inductive coil secured on the wheel. When the wheel 10 spins, the inductive coil is linked to spin simultaneously, that generates electric power to supply to and activate electrical components. However, this design requires the generating device has to be placed in the wheel frame first, and then put the electrical components on the rim of the wheel frame before molding. This uses the magnetic principle to activate the components when rolling.
15 However, this design has a few shortcomings: 1. Since the electric components are enwrapped in the wheel, pressures are also applied to the components when the wheel is rolling, which damages He components. 2. The strength of rubber in making the wheel is not strong enough.
20 In view of these, the inventor has invented the present invention to improve the shortcomings Summary of the Invention
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a bicycle generating system, which is more solid and lasts longer.
25 It is another object of the present invention to provide a bicycle generating system, which is more secure and safer for user.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a bicycle generating system, which is inexpensive in mass produce.
Brief Description of the Drawings
FIG. 1 is a side cross sectional view of a wheel incorporated with the present 5 invention; FIG. 2 is a Wont side sectional view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the hub and the generating system, and FIG. 4 is a side elevation view of the present invention.
Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment
As shown in Figs. I and 2, a bicycle generating system of the present invention comprises a wheel axle 1, a hub 2, a generating system 3, a wheel frame 4, and a plurality of chambers 5. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the generating system 3 is 5 Conned by a magnet 31, an inductive coil 32 and wires 33. The inductive coil 32 is sleeved outside of the magnet 31, and is able to spin with respect to the magnet 31 to generate electric power supplied to a load through the wires 33. The hub 2 is a hollow body to accommodate the generating system 3 and has a recess 21 at the center portion for the axle I to be inserted there Rough and with the magnet 31 10 secured thereat.
The hub 2 comprises a plurality of posts 23 on its outer rim, each post 23 has a hole 22 for the corresponding wires 33 to be inserted there through. The hub 2 is actually formed by a pair of semi-crctslar body, which may include the generating system 3 and inject integrally with the wheel frame 4, which allows exposure of the 15 wires 33 in the holes 22 of the posts 23 on the wheel frame 4. The wheel frame 4 farther comprises a plurahty of chambers 5 connected with the wires 33. Each of the chambers 5 is composed of a transparent cover 5 and an electric component S2.
The transparent cover 51 is a flat hollow body and is able to be fixed on the wheel frame 4, and whereas the electric component 52 is clipped on the transparent cover 20 51 and is connected with the wires 33. The electric component 52 may be a LED, a sound device or just an ornament.
According to FIGS. 1 and 2, the chambers 5 on the wheel frame 4 protect elements in the chambers 5 from the pressure of tires, which is more practical and advantage.
