Abstract

238,809. Spencer, G. March 18, 1925. Roundabouts. - Cars 18 are suspended from spindles 17 extending from arms 16 on the ends nf shafts 13 which are carried by radial arms 8 rotating about a pedestal 3. The arms 8 are secured to a vertical shaft 1, which is rotated by gears 4, 5 inside the pedestal 3, and the shafts 13 carry pinions 14 engaging a fixed crown-wheel 15, so that the cars 18 are given a rotary motion in a vertical plane in addition to their rotation about the shaft 1. A ring 20, which may be decorated,. extends round the upper part of the apparatus.
