Abstract

A pushchair having a telescopic main frame hinged to a further two base frame sections on either side. The telescopic main frame being capable of collapsing in height to a more convenient and carry-able size. The pushchair comprising the frame section and also a seat section which slides down onto the frame.

Description

BAGGED PUSHCI lAlR 2388079 The invention is of a type of pushchair, which
is often used to transport young children, toddlers and infants that can be folded conveniently These pushchairs are widely used to transport children, but have one drawback, they cannot be folded sufficiently enough to be inserted into a bag which may be carried by the parent/carer if the child chooses to come out of it A hope of this invention is to provide a pushchair, which can be folded to a size, which is convenient to be put into a bag, and carried comfortably As such, this invention enables the frame of the pushchair to retract and the seat section to be separated and to be folded The seat section of the pushchair slides down onto the metal frame of the pushchair' thus compacting the overall size of the item for inserting into a bag Seat section of the pushchair is made of neoprene or any other strong foldable material The Dame section is made of tubular lightweight metal A complete description of the invention will now be given with reference to the
accompanying drawing in which FIGURE I shows a side elevation of the assembled pushchair FIGURE 2 shows a front elevation of the assembled pushchair FIGURE 3 shows a plan elevation of the top section of the assembled pushchair with dotted lines revealing position of metal frame unseen FIGURE 4 shows a front elevation of the seat section of the assembled pushchair with dotted lines revealing position of metal frame unseen.
FIGURE 5 shows a side elevation of the seat section of the assembled pushchair with dotted lines revealing position of metal frame unseen FIGURE 6 shows a base elevation of the seat section of the assembled pushchair with dotted lines revealing position of metal frame unseen.
FIGURE 7 shows a side elevation of the seat section once slipped off of its frame.
FIGURE 8 shows an example of reduction in bulk of the seat section for carriage FIGURE 9 shows a side elevation of the frame and sections FIGURE 10 shows the frame once folded down and into itself FIGURE 1 I shows a picture of the size of the pushchair when being carried
As shown in figure I the pushchair comprises of a metal frame in an upturned v shape, the base portion having hinges on both sides to accommodate the rear wheel shafts The seat section slides down onto this framework, the top of the metal frame sliding into the back 'U' bend section shown in figure 6 and slides down the frame to fit Then the top of the frame will fill the top cavity of the seat section shown in dotted lines in figure 3 and down the sides of the seat section, restricted to the 'U' bend section shown in figure 4 and figure 5 The rear wheel shafts are attached to the main frame by a fortified hinge which operates along one axis only shown in figure This may enable the user to fold down the pushchair shown in figure I O and to move the pushchair along when in use The frame may be folded down and into itselftelescopically as shown in figure 10 Figure 7 shows the seat section from a side angle once slipped off of the frame section with the pushchair handle protruding to the top The seat section can then be collapsed onto itself and rolled if wished to create a small bulk as shown in figure 8 The objects now shown in figure 8 and figure 10 can be combined to insert into a carry bag which could be worn over the shoulder as shown in figure I I.
