238,636. Oostendorp, E. B. May 30, 1924. Inlaid work.-Letters made of celluloid, ivorine, abonite, vulcanite, " Erinoid " or similar products of rubber or casein are inlaid on a ground of any of these substances or of wood; or alternatively, the letters are of wood and the ground of any of these substances, the letters and ground having bevelled contacting edges. The inlaying is preferably made by superposing two plates, adapted to form the ground and letters, and cutting through them simultaneously at a slight inclination to form the bevelled edges, the letters being afterwards glued into the openings in the ground.
