Abstract

A whole cigarette box holder, which is an ergonomically constructed hollow box Fig 1. The cigarette box is inserted into the whole cigarette box holder Fig 2 and the hinged lid of the whole cigarette box holder is placed over the lid of the cigarette box Fig 3. The whole cigarette box holder behaves like the cigarette box itself, Fig 4, with the lids opening and closing simultaneously, as if there is only one cigarette holder present Fig 4. To remove the cigarette box from the whole cigarette box holder, the lid of the cigarette box 1 (Fig 4) can be removed from the lid of the whole cigarette box holder, and the cigarette box can be withdrawn from the whole cigarette box holder as reverse to Fig 2. The whole cigarette box holder will also act as a protector for the original cigarette box.

WHOLE CIGARETTE BOX HOLDER

This invention relates to a whole cigarette box holder.

Conventionally, cigarette cases are availed by the more conscious smokers. The reason for this is simple; standard cigarette cases require the cigarettes to be removed from their original boxes and replaced in the cigarette case. This can prove a tedious task for many, especially as the cases typically accommodate a smaller quantity of cigarettes and the process of replenishing the case is repeated many times. Cases in which the whole cigarette box can be housed are more often than not bulky, and involve a couple of steps in order to reach the cigarette, namely opening the case, then opening the cigarette box.

The general consensus is that these methods are inconvenient and time consuming.

The whole cigarette box holder solves these problems. It is designed in such a manner so as it operates almost as a second skin to the original cigarette box. The ergonomics of the original boxes are complimented by the whole cigarette box holder, so that the cigarette box can slip inside. Once inside, the lid of the cigarette box is covered by the hinged lid of the whole cigarette box holder and the two open simultaneously. The fit is tight, ensuring that once the cigarette box is in place, there is little or no differential in the convenience of obtaining a cigarette from the original packing. This alleviates the nuisances experienced with conventionally designed cigarette cases.

The essential features of the whole cigarette box holder are the mechanism of the hinged lid, which ensures a single operation to open directly two individual products. The design of it also ensures that once in place, the whole cigarette box holder function as a second skin to the original box of cigarettes. Also, the potentially protective aspect of the whole cigarette box holder is also an essential feature. Cigarette boxes tend to get crushed when in pockets, due to the thin and weak material used in their

manufacture. The whole cigarette box holder would counter this; to which extent would depend on the material used. The non-essential features are aspects such as design on the faces of the holder, the material which is utilized and what subtle differences have to be implemented due to the material variation; for example, metal holders will require a hinge like mechanism on the hinged lid to aid flexibility, whereas a paper deviant would not. The function executed would still be the same.

A specific embodiment of this invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 illustrates unoccupied, hollow whole cigarette box holder.

Figure 2 shows a cigarette box being inserted into the whole cigarette box holder.

Figure 3 demonstrates the lid of the whole cigarette box holder being placed over the lid of the original cigarette box.

Figure 4 displays the lid of the whole cigarette box opening simultaneously with the lid of the original cigarette box.

Figure 5 displays lid of the whole cigarette box closing simultaneously with the lid of the original cigarette box.

Referring to the drawings of the whole cigarette box holder, the holder compromises of a specifically constructed hollow box Fig 1.

Once the cigarette box is placed inside, the whole cigarette box holder behaves like the cigarette box itself, Fig 4. To remove the cigarette box from the whole cigarette box holder, the lid of the cigarette box 1 (Fig 4) can be removed from the lid of the whole cigarette box holder, and the cigarette box can be withdraw from the whole cigarette box holder as reverse to Fig 2.

Claims

1) A whole cigarette box holder comprising of a body in the form of a specially constructed hollow box which is structured to accommodate cigarette boxes.

2) A whole cigarette box holder as claimed in Claim 1 where the

hinged lid of the whole cigarette box holder and the ergonomics enables a whole box of cigarettes to be placed in the holder, and once in place, for both the lids to the holder and the box inside to open simultaneously.

3) A whole cigarette box holder as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2, which has an openinglclosing hinged lid to enable quick and easy access into the holder and therefore the box of cigarettes. 4) A whole cigarette box holder as claimed in any preceding claim where the manufacture material is variable and can provide different advantages, such as a protective aspect.

5) A whole cigarette box holder, as claimed in any preceding claim, where once the box of cigarettes is inside, behaves like the cigarette box itself.
