Abstract

Live fish, or any other aquatic animals, are carried in an air-tight container 1, in a humid atmosphere maintained under pressure. Oxygenated water is sprayed into the unit, and over the fish, from jets 7. All the water is recycled. The fish may be housed in individual units within the container, the use of packing material preventing any damage during transit. The conditions within the system may be controlled with the use of a computer. The container may be used in conjunction any carrier system.
