Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Door Supervisor Jacket The invention relates to a door supervisors jacket which is both practical and stylish, and involves using'press'stud fasteners to remove the sleeves and inside lining for different purposes.
The Bomber Jacket which were worn in the past were practical but now suffer the thug image, their advantages were that they were great in the winter (due to quilted lining), washable and durable, due to its material being able to with stand being grabbed and pulled. (zips meant no buttons missing) The suit jacket now favored by most venues have the right image but suffer disadvantages in practicability, they do not protect you from the cold weather, they are drycleanable, have a tendency to lose buttons or be ripped at the seams due to the nature of the job, i. e. Ejecting drunk and disorderly patrons.
Both styles have no compensation to the fact that your ID badge must be worn on display. (which would be clipped to your pocket or worn supported by a string around your neck), thus the perils of losing your badge in an incident.
Accordingly this invention is of a suit style jacket of washable and durable material, the buttons are covered by a lapel and on the inside is a slot for your ID badge to go in which can be seen through a clear plastic at the front of the jacket.
The sleeves and inside lining can be removed by the'press stud fasteners'for summer or busy night club use. (due to the capacity or heat in the venue.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIG 1 Is showing a full frontal view of the jacket FIG 2 Is showing where the sleeves come apart from the press stud fasteners FIG 3 Is showing the inside of the jacket where the lining can be removed from the press stud fasteners FIG 4 Is showing the inside of the left breast pocket where the I. D badge is slotted into
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
As shown in figure 1, the jacket is of a suit style made of PV coated nylon, and has a lapel running down the front which has been stitched at the top and bottom to stay in place, thus protecting the buttons underneath. A clear pocket can be seen on the left breast but is not accessible from the front of the jacket.
Figure 2 shows how the sleeves can be unclipped by pulling apart the press studs from their base, the base is flat and so does not effect the wearer.
As shown in figure 3, the press studs which surround most of the inside of the jacket are attached to the lining and can also be detached from their base Figure 4, shows the inside of the left breast where there is a pocket that an id badge can be slotted in. The front section of this pocket is made of plastic The jacket is smart and can be worn all year round as the quilted lining keeps you warm in the winter months. (Nature of a door supervisors job is standing out side the front door of the venue) During the warmer summer months the lining and sleeves can be removed for extra comfort, which is the same principle if you work inside the venue, added to the fact that your id can be clearly seen you will be instantly recognizable.
The id pocket and the lapels covering the buttons insures that both items stay intacted in any skirmishes.
The jacket can be made in various colours to suit any venue's colour coordination, it is also supplied in silver grey which can be seen clearly in any dark crowded venue.
