Abstract

A standard electrical plug with the front cover adapted to include an indented section. This section will house a small fitting card that can be removed easily. The consumer will be able to write a description on the card to clearly show what appliance this plug relates to. The cover for the indented section which houses the card (Fig 3) will be made from clear thin plastic. On each side will have a slip that will allow the consumer to easily slip on or slip of the cover.

PIN-POINT PLUG The Description The invention relates to the electrical plug.
The problems of tangled wires and trying to determine which plug relates to which appliance, have been encountered by everyone at some time or another. For example, many people can recall disconnecting the VCR when they were attempting to disconnect the television from the mains. Many people restore to sticking postit notes on the electrical plugs to show which electrical appliance the plug relates to.
The object of this invention is to enable consumers to clearly and safely label electrical plugs thus avoid the dangerous method of postit labelling, which is in common practice.
Preferably the electrical plug will be re-designed to enable clear and safe labelling.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure I shows the front view of the"Pin-Point Plug" ; Figure 2 shows a side angle view of the"Pin-Point Plug" ; Figure 3 shows the plastic slip that will cover the labelling section.

As shown in figure 1, the core product is a standard electrical plug. The front cover has been adapted to include an indented section. This section will house a small fitting card
that can be removed easily. The consumer will be able to write a description on the card to clearly show what appliance this plug relates to. For example,"TV","Sony Video", A "Fridge". It can also include captions, considering the case for a plug connected to the boiler: Boiler Leave on at all time The Pin-Point Plug has a wide range of possibilities. It can also be extremely useful in the commercial world. For example the computer server plug could be labelled: Server Do NOT switch off Figure 2 gives another dimension, highlighting the simplicity of the design. The front cover is the only change to a standard plug. The cover over the indented part will be flush and will comply fully with all safety aspects Figure 3 shows the cover for the indented section which houses the card. The cover will be made from clear thin plastic. On each side will have a slip that will allow the consumer to easily slip on or slip of the cover.

  2. 2. An electrical plug substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
