Abstract

238,040. Loveridge, C. W. June 19, 1924. Transferring goods between ship and shore by portable elevated railways.-The portable rail 12 is carried by brackets 14 in a housing 13 which travels on rails 24 laid parallel to the main track rail. The rail 12 has at one end a taper tongue engaging a groove in the fixed main rail, and is free at the other end which may be hinged so as to swing clear of the ship's funnels, &c.
