Abstract
The invention relates to a cooling system having two modes of operation, active and passive operation. The new cooling system differs from the prior art in that the pipe connection (4) is connected with the top of the evaporator (6), and that a liquid separator (9) is arranged between the pipe connections (8) and (10) which connect the bottom of the evaporator (6) with the compressor (1). This ensures that the cooling system may operate free of maintenance, as lubricating oil for lubricating the compressor (1), which is mixed with coolant, accumulates at the bottom of the evaporator (6), from which it may be sucked up and returned to the compressor (1), so that the compressor (1) does not run out of lubricating oil, or that the cooling system must be equipped with other means or deviceds for separating and recycling the lubricating oil to the compressor (1).
