Abstract

A housing arrangement for an air conditioning vent is aligned with at least one air outlet (20) and at least one air inlet (21). Each air outlet has a member (22) controlled by a driving device (3) with swing movements to adjust the cold air blowing direction, and is covered with an air outlet cover (4, figure 2) connected with at least one air duct (6, figure 4). Each air inlet is fixed with a filter net (24) as well as a detachable air inlet grille (25), and is covered with an air inlet cover (5, figure 2) connected with at least one air duct (6, figure 4). A combination of the components described above provide blowing direction adjustment, rapid installation and ease of repair.

Description

FACEPLATE OF A BLOWER FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
This invention relates to a faceplate of a blower for an air 5 conditioner, particularly to one juxtaposed with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind inlet, wherein each wind outlet has a swing member controlled by a driving device with swing movements to adjust cold air blowing direction and is covered with a wind-out cover connected with at least one windpipe; each wind inlet is fixed with a filter net as well as a 10 detachable wind-in grille, and is covered with a wind-in cover connected with at least one windpipe, by which a combination of the components described above provides the faceplate with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind-
suction, blowing-direction adjustment, rapid installation as well as repair, 15 and forced wind-suction.
2. Description of the Prior Art
Known conventional air conditioning systems, as shown in Fig. 1, are mostly installed with many wind outlets 11 and wind inlets 12 on the ceiling formed with steel frames 10 and use windpipes to connect the wind 20 outlets 11 with a main machine. Every wind outlets 11 is provided with a guide plate formed as a faceplate integral with radial slopes in fixed arrangement and unable to change its blowing angle so that cold air blown out through the guide plate is limited in radial directions. Around each wind outlets 11, there is a wind inlet 12 formed as a faceplate integral with 25 a filter net, which is very inconvenient in repair work because the whole faceplate has to be disassembled when repairing components in the
interior of the air conditioning systems. This is a heavy work a repairmen to disassemble so many faceplates for repair and clean, which is very troublesome and time-consuming. In order to provide every room with equivalent cold air circulation, besides the faceplates of the wind outlets 5 11 and the wind inlets 12 spreading on the whole ceiling formed with steel frames 1O, every faceplates is also provided with a windpipe base for connecting a windpipe that needs to be tied up together in good order, which also becomes a heavy burden to repairmen and greatly delays the time of construction. Moreover, the difficulties to keep such numerous JO intersected windpipes fixed in their locations and to have the windpipe bases in tight connection with the windpipes not only make the constructing process become more complicated, but also becomes serious problems in latter maintenance and repair.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
5 The main purpose of the invention is to offer a faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner provided with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind suction, blowing-direction adjustment, convenience for installation as well as repair, and forced wind-suction.
20 One primary feature of the invention is to provide a faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner including a faceplate and at least one wind out cover, wherein the faceplate is juxtaposed with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind inlet, each wind outlet provided with a swing member connected to and controlled by a motor of a driving device with 25 swing movements to adjust cold air blowing direction, each wind inlet fixed with at least one wind-in grille and at least one detachable filter net; each wind-out cover is covered on each wind outlet of the faceplate and is
provided with at least one wind-out hole formed in a proper place of the wind-out cover for connecting with a windpipe, by which a combination of the components described above provides the faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner in the present invention with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind-
suction and blowing-direction adjustment.
One another feature of the invention is to provide a faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner including a faceplate, at least one wind- out cover and at least one wind-in cover, wherein the faceplate is juxtaposed 10 with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind inlet, each wind outlet provided with a swing member connected to and controlled by a motor of a driving device with swing movements to adjust cold air blowing direction, each wind inlet fixed with at least one wind-in grille and at least one detachable filter net; each wind-out cover is covered on each wind outlet 15 of the faceplate and is provided with at least one wind-out hole formed in a proper place of the wind-out cover for connecting with a windpipe; each wind-in cover is covered on each wind inlet of the faceplate and is provided with at least one wind-in hole formed in a proper place of the wind-in cover for connecting with a windpipe to forcedly exhaust air in the 20 room back to a blower, by which a combination of the components described above provides the faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner in the present invention with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind-suction, blowing direction adjustment and forced wind-suction.
2s One further feature of the invention is to provide a faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner including a faceplate, at least one windout cover and at least one wind-in cover, wherein the faceplate is juxtaposed with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind inlet, each wind outlet
provided with a swing member connected to and controlled by a motor of a driving device with swing movements to adjust cold air blo wing direction, each wind inlet fixed with at least one detachable wind-in grille and at least one detachable filter net, each detachable wind-in grille convenient for a 5 repairman to check and repair components in the interior of the faceplate; each wind-out cover is covered on each wind outlet of the faceplate and is provided with at least one wind-out hole formed in a proper place of the wind-out cover for connecting with a windpipe; each wind-in cover is covered on each wind inlet of the faceplate and is provided with at least lo one wind-in hole formed in a proper place of the wind-in cover for connecting with a windpipe to conduct forced wind-suction, by which a combination of the components described above provides the faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner in the present invention with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of 15 wind-blowing, wind-suction, blowing-direction adjustment and forced wind suction, and rapid installation and repair with detachable wind-in grilles.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
A preferred embodiment of a faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner in the present invention, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, includes a 20 faceplate 2, a driving device 3, a wind-out cover 4 and a wind-in cover 5 as main components.
The faceplate 2 is juxtaposed with a wind outlet 20 and a wind inlet 21. The wind outlet 20 includes a plurality of guide leaves 200 arranged in the inner portion of the wind outlet 20 with adjustable turning direction, two 25 through holes 201 respectively disposed in the walls at both sides of the wind outlet 20, a plurality of screw holes 203 disposed in two receiving faces 202 formed on the upper surfaces of the walls at both sides of the
wind outlet 20. A motor seat 23 is disposed near one sidewall of the wind outlet 20. A swing member 22 formed as a U-shaped rectangular plate and pivoted below the guide leaves 200 of the wind outlet 20 has two pivot journals 220 outwardly disposed on both sidewalls of the swing member 5 22 for corresponding to the two through holes 201 of the wind outlet 20 and one of the two pivot journal 220 has an insert hole 221 formed in the center OT the pivot journal 220. The wind inlet 21 has a circumferential edge 210 disposed in an inner surface close to the top of the wind inlet 21, and a plurality of hook grooves 211 as well as a plurality of engagement 10 holes 212 respectively disposed in the two opposite inner sidewalls of the wind inlet 21 below the circumferential edge 210. The circumferential edge 210 is arranged with a plurality of combining holes 2i3. A filter net 24 has a plurality of screw holes 240 arranged in its circumferential edge and corresponding to the plurality of combining holes 213 of the wind inlet 21, by which the filter net 24 can be combined with the wind inlet 21 by aligning the plurality of screw holes 240 to the plurality of combining holes 213 of the wind inlet 21 and screwing them together with screws N. A wind-in grille 25 has a plurality of hook blocks 250 outwardly disposed in one sidewall of the wind-in grille 25 for corresponding to the plurality of 20 hook grooves 211 of the wind inlet 21 and a plurality of elastic; retaining members 251 disposed in the opposite sidewall of the wind-in grille 25 for corresponding to the plurality of engagement holes 212 of the wind inlet 21 and being engaged in the plurality of engagement holes 212 of the wind inlet 21 with elasticity. A plurality of indictor lights 26 are disposed in 25 proper positions in the outer surface of the faceplate 2, as shown in Fig. 6, for showing a working state of blowing cold air.
The driving device 3 connected with the swing member 22 includes a motor 30, a driving member 32, a transmission rod 33 and an oscillating
follower 34. The motor 30 is screwed on the motor seat 23 for localization and has an axle 31 protruded on the surface of the motor 30 in an eccentric position and connected with the driving member 32. The transmission rod 33 is provided with two insert holes 330 at both ends: one is connected with an outer end of the driving member 32; the other one is connected with one end of the oscillating follower 34 whose the other end is protruded with a projecting rod 340 for being inserted into the insert hole 221 of one of the two pivot journals 220 of the swing November 22, by which a combination of the components described above provides JO a driving device 3 capable of driving the swing member 22 to automatically swing back and forth with oscillating movements.
The wind-out cover 4 covered on the wind outlet 20 of the faceplate 2 has two sidewalls provided with a plural ty of screw holes 40 and supported by the receiving faces 202 of the wind outlet 20 as well as at least one wind-out Is hole 41 formed in a proper place of the wind-out cover 4. The wind-out cover 4 is capable of being combined with the wind outl et 20 by correspondingly aligning the plurality of screw holes 40 to the plurality of screw holes 203 of the receiving faces 202 of the wind outlet 20 and screwing them together with screws N. The wind-out hole 41 has an 2.0 engagement edge 410 inwardly formed in circumference of the wind-out hole 41 for convenience of being rapidly engaged with a windpipe 6.
The wind-in cover 5 covered on the wind inlet 21 of the faceplate 2 and supported by the circumferential edge 210 of the wind inlet 21 has a plurality of screw holes 50 arranged in the walls around the opening of wind 25 in cover as well as at least one wind-in hole 51 formed in a proper place of the wind-in cover 5. The wind-in cover 5 is capable of being combined with the wind inlet 21 by correspondingly aligning the plurality of screw holes 50 to the plurality of combining holes 213 of the circumferential edge
210 of the wind inlet 21 and screwing them together with screws N from the bottom of the wind inlet 21. The wind-in hole 51 has an engagement edge 510 inwardly formed in circumference of the wind-out hole 51 for convenience of being rapidly engaged with a windpipe 6 to forcedly s exhaust air in the room back to a blower. Alternatively, one of the windin holes 51 is capable of being connected with a windpipe 6 to exhaust dirty air in the room to the outside.
In assembling, referring to Figs. 2 to 4, firstly engage each windpipe 6 with each wind-in hole 51 of the wind-in cover 5, and then to place the filter net 24 and the wind-in cover 5 on the circumferential edge 210 of the wind inlet 21 of the faceplate 2 in good order, and then correspondingly align the plurality of screw holes 240 of the filter net 24 and the plurality of screw holes 50 of the wind-in cover 5 respectively to the plurality of combining holes 213 of the circumferential edge 210 of l 5 the wind inlet 21 and screw them together with screws N from the bottom of the wind inlet 21.
Secondly, correspondingly hook a plurality of hook blocks 250 of the windin grille 25 onto the plurality of hook grooves 211 of the wind inlet 21 and correspondingly push and engage the plurality of the elastic 20 retaining members 251 of the wind-in grille 25 into the plurality of engagement holes 212 of the wind inlet 21 firmly. When repairing, it is very easy a repairman to disassemble the wind-in grille 25 from the wind inlet 21 by pressing and compressing the plurality of elastic retaining members 251 of the wind-in grille 25 out of the engagement of the 25 plurality of engagement holes 212 of the wind inlet 21 so that the windin grille 25 is in a state of having one side provided with the plurality of elastic retaining members 251 lowered down, and having the other side provided with the plurality of hook blocks 250 still hooked onto the
/ plurality of hook grooves 2110f the wind inlet 21, as shown in Fig. 5, which is convenient for a repairman to check and repair components in the interior of the faceplate 2.
Thirdly, respectively extend the two pivot journals 220 of the swing 5 member 22 into the through holes 201 of the wind outlet 20 for localization and have the insert hole 221 formed in one of the two pivot journals 220 inserted with the projecting rod 340 of the oscillating follower 34. And then, respectively connect the two insert holes 330 of the transmission rod 33 to the outer end of the oscillating follower 34 10 and the outer end of the driving member 32, and then connect the other end of the driving member 32 to the axle 31 of the motor 30. With a combination of the components described above, the driving device 3 is assembled and is capable of driving the swing member 22 combined with the wind outlet 20 to automatically swing back and forth with l: oscillating movements.
Fourthly, engage each windpipe 6 with each wind-out hole 41 of the windout cover 4, and then correspondingly align the plurality of screw holes 40 of the wind-out cover 4 respectively to the plurality of screw holes 203 of the wind outlet 20 and screw them together with 20 screws N. Each windpipe 6 has a pipe body formed with metal steel rings that are capable of being engaged into the engagement edge 510 of the wind-in hole 51 of the wind-in cover 5 and the engagement edge 410 of the wind-out hole 41 of the wind-out cover 4 with quickness.
25 With a combination of the components described above, the faceplate 2 installed on the ceiling formed with steel frames may have a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate, as shown in Fig. 6, and is convenient for being assembled and disassembled with
l the wind-out cover 4, the wind-in cover 5 and the windpipes 6 with quickness. Moreover, the components of the wind blowing system, such as the wind outlet 20 of the faceplate 2 and the wind-out cover 4, etc., are 5 provided with PU-made temperature insulating material P on their wall surfaces and contact surfaces to prevent frost from forming in these surfaces when the cold air inside the wind outlet 20 of the faceplate 2 and the wind-out cover 4 comes across heat.
The filter net 24 combined in the inner portion of the wind inlet 21 10 of the faceplate 2 may be designed with a shape of wave, as shown in Fig. 7, or a shape of battlement, as shown in Fig 8, to increase the filtering area for the sucked air.
The indictor lights 26 are disposed in the outer surface of the faceplate 2, as shown in Fig. 6, are helpful to show a working state of l: blowing cold air.
The invention has the following advantages and effects, as can be understood from the aforesaid description.
1. The faceplate 2 of the invention is provided with simple components for rapid assembly and disassembly.
20 2. The faceplate 2 of the invention has a capacity of sending out wind and sucking in wind in one faceplate.
3. The engagement edge 410 of the wind-out hole 41 of the wind out cover 4 and the engagement edge 510 of the wind-in hole 51 of the wind-in cover 5 are designed to be engaged with different sizes of 25 windpipes 6 for achieving the best sealing effect in the connection of the windpipes 6 with the wind-out cover 4 and the wind-in cover 5.
4. The filter net 24 designed with a shape of wave or battlement is to increase the filtering area for the sucked air so as to achieve the best 1 0
filtering effect.
5. The whole structure of the invention is provided with light components for easy and rapid installation.
While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims (6)

1. A faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner comprising: a faceplate juxtaposed with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind inlet, each said wind outlet provided with a swing member connected to and controlled by a motor of a driving device with swing movements to adjust cold air blowing direction, each said wind inlet fixed with at least one wind-in grille and at least one detachable filter net; at least one wind- out cover covered on each said wind outlet of said faceplate and provided with at least one wind-out hole formed in a proper 10 plate of said wind- out cover for connecting with a windpipe; and, whereby a combination of said components described above provides said faceplate with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind-suction and blowing-
direction adjustment.

The faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner comprising: a faceplate juxtaposed with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind inlet, each said wind inlet provided with a swing member connected to and controlled by a motor of a driving device with swing movements to adjust cold air blowing direction, each said wind inlet fixed with at least one wind-in 20 grille and at least one detachable filter net; at least one wind-out cover covered on each said wind outlet of said faceplate and provided with at least one wind-out hole formed in a proper place of said wind-out cover for connecting with a windpipe; at least one wind-in cover covered on each said wind inlet of said /
faceplate and provided with at lest one wind-in hole formed in a proper place of said wind-in cover for connecting with a windpipe to forcedly exhaust air in a room back to a blower; and, whereby a combination of said components described above provides 5 said faceplate with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind-suction and blowing-
direction adjustment and forced wind-suction.
3. The faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner comprising: a faceplate juxtaposed with at least one wind outlet and at least one wind 10 inlet, each said wind outlet provided with a swing member connected to and controlled by a motor of a driving device with swing movements to adjust cold air blowing direction, each said wind inlet fixed with at least one detachable wind-in grille and at least one detachable filter net, each said detachable wind-in grille convenient for a repairman to check and repair components in 15 an interior of said faceplate; at least one wind-out cover covered on each said wind outlet of said faceplate and provided with at least one wind-out hole fornned in a proper place of said wind-out cover for connecting with a windpipe; at least one wind-in cover covered on each said wind inlet of said 20 faceplate and provided with at least one wind-in hole formed in a proper place of said wind-in cover for connecting with a windpipe to conduct forced wind-suction; and, whereby a combination of said components described above provides said faceplate with a capacity of blowing out and sucking in wind in one
faceplate and with functions of wind-blowing, wind-suction and blowing-
direction adjustment, forced wind-suction, and rapid installation and repair with said detachable wind-in grilles.
4. The faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner as claimed in claims 2 S or 3, wherein said wind-in holes are capable of being connected with said windpipes to exhaust dirty air in a room to the outside.
5. The faceplate of a blower for an air conditioner as claimed in claims 1, 2 or 3, wherein a plurality of indicator lights are disposed in an outer surface of said faceplate for showing a working state of blowing cold air.
