The outsole (11) is provided in the upper side with a receiving slot (12) in which an electric vibrator (21) and a battery set (31) are disposed. The battery set (31) is connected with the electric vibrator (21) by a wire (36) for providing the vibrator (21) with power. The outsole (11) is provided with a recessed slot (14) in communication with the receiving slot (12). A switch (41) is disposed in the recessed slot (14) and is connected with the electric vibrator (21) and the battery set (31) by a wire (42) which penetrates into the receiving slot (12). The switch (41) turns on and off the electric vibrator (21) which serves to provide the insole (51) with the vibrational effect to massage the foot wearing the footwear.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
FOOT WEAR CAPABLE OF VIBRATIONAL MASSAGE FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates generally to a footwear, and more particularly to a footwear which is capable of a vibrational massage.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As shown in FIG. 1, a massage shoe 70 of the prior art comprises a bottom plate 71 which is provided with a support plate 75 parallel to the bottom plate 71 at an interval. The support plate 75 and the bottom plate 71 are provided therebetween with a plurality of support pillars 73, thereby resulting in a predetermined interval between the support plate 75 and the bottom plate 71. The bottom plate 71 is provided with a vibrating device 77 and a battery case 78. In addition, the massage shoe 70 is provided with a fastening strap 79 and a switch 81 which is connected to the vibrating device 77 or battery case 78. The vibrating device 77 serves to provide the massage shoe 70 with a vibrational effect to soothe the foot.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
The prior art massage shoe 70 has shortcomings. In the first place, the vibrating device 77 and the battery case 78 are not provided with protection against water and are therefore vulnerable to mechanical failure. In addition, the vibrating device 77 is not energy-efficient in view of the fact that the vibrational effect is transmitted from the bottom plate 71 to the support plate 75 via the support pillars 73, thereby resulting in a substantial energy waste. Moreover, the massage shoe 70 of the prior art is rather complicated in construction and is therefore not cost-effective.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a waterproof massage footwear which is not vulnerable to mechanical disorder.
It is another objective of the present invention to provide a massage footwear which is effective in providing a vibrational effect to soothe the foot.
It is still another objective of the present invention to provide a massage footwear which can be easily assembled.
The structures, features and functions of the present invention will be readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 shows an exploded view of a massage shoe of the prior art.
FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 4 shows a schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in use such that the battery is being replaced.
FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of another preferred embodiment of the present invention with the switch thereof being disposed in the sideof the sole thereof.
FIG. 6 shows a schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention at work in conjunction with a chargeable battery.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a massage shoe 10 embodied in the present invention comprises an outsole 11, an electric vibrator 21, a battery set 31, a switch 41, and an insole 51.
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
The outsole 11 is provided in the front segment of the upper side thereof with a receiving slot 12, and in the rear end thereof with a recessed slot 14 which is in communication with the receiving slot 12.
The electric vibrator 21 is fixed in the receiving slot 12. The electric vibrator 21 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is an electric eccentric motor capable of a vibrational effect.
The battery set 31 is formed of a battery mount 32 and a plurality
o of batteries 34. The battery mount 32 is fixed in the receiving slot 12.
I The batteries 34 are disposed in the battery mount 32. The battery set 31 is connected with the electric vibrator 21 by a wire 36.
The switch 41 is disposed in the recessed slot 14 of the outsole 11 such that the switch 41 is connected with the battery set 31 and the vibrator 21 by a wire 42 which is penetrated into the receiving slot 12.
The electric vibrator 21 is regulated by the switch 41.
The insole 51 is detachably fastened with the upper side of the outsole 11 by the magic tapes 59 of the Velcro device. The insole 51 can be easily separated from the outsole 11 to facilitate the replacing of the batteries 34.
As the switch 41 is turned on, the electric vibrator 21 is started to bring about a vibrational effect to soothe the foot wearing the massage shoe 10 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
In the event that the batteries 34 are exhausted, they can be
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
replaced with new ones by peeling off the insole 51, as illustrated in FIG.
4, so as to expose the batteries 34. Upon completion of the replacement of the batteries 34, the insole 51 is pressed to rejoin with the outsole 11 by means of the magic tapes 59 of the Velcro device.
As shown in FIG. 5, a massage shoe 60 of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention is basically similar in construction to the massage shoe 10 described above, with the difference being that the massage shoe 60 comprises an outsole 61 which is provided in the side wall thereof with a recessed slot 64 in which the switch 65 is located.
As shown in FIG. 6, the massage shoe 10 of the present invention is powered by a plurality of batteries which are chargeable. The side wall of the outsole 11 is provided with a jack 19 which is used to make electrical contact and is connected with the battery set.
The jack 19 is engageable with a transformer (not shown in the drawing), charging circuit, or charging device (not shown in the drawing).
The present invention has advantages over the prior art massage shoe. In the first place, the electric vibrator 21 and the battery set 31 are located in the receiving slot 12 of the outsole 11 and are thus well protected by the outsole 11 and the insole 51 against water. As a result, the present invention is less vulnerable to a mechanical failure which is caused by the water. In addition, the massage shoe of the present invention is relatively efficient in terms of transmission of vibrational effect, thanks to the insole 51 which makes direct contact with the outsole 11. In other words, the vibrational effect of the electric vibrator 21 is directly transmitted from the outsole 11 to the insole 51, without
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
using the intermediate support pillars 73 of the prior art massage shoe 70. Moreover, in light of lack of the support pillars 73 of the prior art, the present invention is relatively simple in construction. Instead of the costly support pillars 73 of the prior art, the present invention makes use of the magic tapes 59 of the Velcro device for joining the insole 51 with the outsole 11.
The embodiments described above are given by way of example only and various modifications will be apparent to persons skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention.
