Abstract

The inner tube 1 is straight and is sealed at both ends; it forms a circle when inserted between the rim 3 of the bicycle wheel and the tyre.

QUICK TUBE This invention relates to a bicycle inner tube. It is a straight tube sealed at either end and forms a circle when inserted between the rim of a wheel and the tyre.
Conventional bicycle inner tubes are well known, but have the disadvantage that to replace an inner tube the wheel has to be removed from the bicycle. This is a time consuming and dirty procedure.
The object of this invention is to provide a straight bicycle inner tube which is easy to change, avoiding the need for removing the bicycle wheel.
Accordingly this invention provides a straight inner tube which is sealed at either end and forms a circle when inserted between the rim of a bicycle wheel and the tyre. This allows the inner tube to be changed without the need to remove the wheel. When in place it functions as a normal inner tube. The inner tube is made of rubber and has a valve for inflating it.
A preferred embodiment of this invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1. shows the quick tube laid flat.
Figure 2. shows the quick tube positioned on the wheel rim.

As shown in figure 1. the inner tube comprises of a straight rubber tube sealed at either end (1) with a valve in the centre (2) Figure 2. shows the straight inner tube (1) with a valve (2) forming a circle around the rim of a bicycle wheel (3).

Claims (5)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A straight bicycle inner tube which forms a circle when placed around a bicycle rim.
  2. 2. A straight bicycle inner tube which will perform as a conventional inner tube whilst in situ.
  3. 3. A straight bicycle inner tube which will allow an inner tube to be replaced without the need to remove the bicycle wheel.
  4. 4. A straight bicycle inner tube as claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from rubber, plastic and metal.
  5. 5. A straight bicycle inner tube substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
