Abstract

A washing line cover includes a retractable roof 1 covered in waterproof material 2 and joined at the bottom 5 and ends 6 by adjustable rods 7 which form air vents. The washing line cover can be stored away in bag on outer wall of house when not in use.

WASHING LINE COVER The invention relates to a washing line cover which includes a retractable roof, waterproof material and air vents which glides above the existing washing line and can be stored away in storage bag on house wall when not in use.
Washing can only be put outside to dry in fair weather conditions in fear of it getting wet which makes it difficult to leave it unattended for long periods of time An object of this invention is to allow washing to dry and stay clean in all weather conditions enabling you to continue about your daily life without having to worry about the washing.
This invention provides a washing cover with a retractable roof which enables it to be stored away when not in use. Adjustable rods located in bottom and each end of cover create air vents which enable the washing to dry.
The material used in this invention must be waterproof and the rods made of metal or plastic A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows a side view of the whole washing cover.
FIGURE 2 shows the inside of the roof section.
FIGURE 3 shows the rods which form the air vents at the bottom and ends of the cover

As shown in figure 1 the washing line cover comprises of a roof 1 made of waterproof material 2 and supported by metal rods 3. Both sides 4 of the cover are again made with waterproof material which are joined at the bottom 5 and ends 6 by adjustable rods 7.
Figure 2 shows the metal rods 3 inside the roof. These rods have loops 7 in the centres to enable a line 8 to be threaded through which enables the rods to glide freely over existing washing line.
Figure 3 shows the adjustable rods 7 at the bottom 5 and ends 6 of the material which form the air vents. These can be adjusted depending on weather conditions (ie wind strength) at the time.

Claims (5)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A washing line cover with a retractable roof and adjustable air vents.
  2. 2 A roof as claimed in claim 1 made from waterproof material is supported by rods with loops, through which a line is threaded.
  3. 3. A cover as claimed in claim 1 is made using waterproof material and draped either side of existing line, joined at the bottom and ends by adjustable rods to form the air vents.
  4. 4. Adjustable rods as claimed in claim 1 or claim 3 are constructed using metal or plastic or a combination of these.
  5. 5. A washing line cover as described here and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
