Abstract

A hanger comprises a crescent-shaped wooden frame over which thickly wadded material 1 is applied. The material is folded over the lower surface 4 of the frame and is stitched 2 over the upper surface. Additional stitching of the material 3 creates indentations in the upper surface of the finished article. The thick wadding provides good support to heavy articles such as dresses and protects against hanger marks on garments. The indentations enable a garment to be held securely reducing any tendency for it to slip off.

  1. CLAIMS 1 A luxury padded dress hanger, which includes thick wadding onto a wooden coat hanger
  2. 2. A wadded hanger as claimed in claim 1 includes stitching an indentation at shoulder level for support
