Abstract

A bookmark comprising a strip of material such as paper, fabric, ribbon, lace, nylon or plastic with a shorter strip of adhesive 1 placed at one end on one or both sides. The adhesive either has a protective coating or is such that it retains its adhesive properties whilst unprotected. The bookmark can be stuck to a page, so that it cannot fall out.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
The pagekeeper, a marker for pages of books or magazines This invention relates to an item for marking a place in a reading object.
The pagekeeper is a way of marking a page or a number of pages in a book or magazine, so that the reader may quickly return to a point of reference or continuation. The invention is meant to be a semi permanent form of marking a page.
It will not fall out or get lost but if so desired can be removed from the book or magazine at any time. Once removed it cannot be adhered again The invention is made up of a piece of fabric, paper, plastic, or other suitable material be it natural or man made and has a strip of adhesive placed on one side and at one end. The adhesive will have a protective coating thus not allowing it to adhere to a surface (or such adhesive that will keep its adherent properties while unprotected.).
Once the protective coating has been removed or the adhesive is in an adherent state the invention will be allowed to be adhered to an appropriate item The drawing shows the outline of the invention with the shaded area (1) of the drawing being the adhesive strip which is covered with a protective coating.
