Abstract

A mortar trowel allowing two handed operation and greater provision for mortar resulting in a faster time to, for example lay brick or block. It comprises of two handles 2, and a loading area 1.

Description

TWO HANDED TROWEL This invention relates to a two handed trowel.
Mortal trowels are well known devices used for the application of mortar on to, say brick or block when constructing walls or such like in, for example the building trade.
The one handed nature of use of these existing trowels can place strain on the wrist of the operative and over time result in a repetitive strain injury. They are also quite slow to apply the mortar as they can only hold enough mortar to seat one block or two brick at a time.
According to the present invention there is provided a trowel comprising application for two handed operation and greater provision for mortar quantity. Resulting in the ability to lay brick or block at a greater speed and with reduced risk of repetitive strain injury.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1 shows in perspective, the trowel with the two handles.
Referring to the drawing the trowel comprises a loading area I and two handles 2.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS 1 A trowel comprising application for two handed operation and greater provision for mortar quantity.
  2. 2 A trowel as claimed in claiml wherein the loading area is shaped in such a way as to give the applied mortar a shape required for the application at hand.
  3. 3 A trowel substantially as described herein with reference to Figure 1 of the accompanying drawing.
