DESCRIPTION SHEET.
PORTABLE LETTER BOX LINER.
THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A PORTABLE LETTER BOX LINER.
MODERN LETTER BOXES ARE CONSTRUCTED TO INCLUDE OUTER AND INNER WEATHER SEAL FLAPS TO CONSERVE HEATING. SOME INNER FLAPS ARE REPLACED BY NYLON DRAUGHT EXCLUDERS.
TO MAKE A DELIVERY THE OUTER FLAP IS LIFTED UPWARDS OR OUTWARDS OR PUSHED INWARDS DEPENDING ON THE TYPE FITTED.
IF THE DELIVERY ITEM IS OF A FLIMSY NATURE I. E. FLYSHEET OR A SINGLE POSTAL ITEM THE DELIVERY IS MORE DIFFICULT.
THIS INVENTION ALLOWS THE DELIVERERS TO KEEP THEIR HANDS OUTSIDE THE LETTER BOX, SO HAS A SAFETY ASPECT.
A SPECIFIC EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION WILL NOW BE DESCRIBED BY WAY OF EXAMPLE WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS 1. THE PORTABLE LETTER BOX LINER COMPRISES OF AN ALL IN ONE MOULDED CHUTE AND UPSTAND, FIG 1. THAT IS PASSED INTO THE LETTER BOX TO SURMOUNT THE OUTER AND INNER WEATHER SEAL FLAPS OR DRAUGHT EXCLUDERS THAT HAVE BEEN FITTED.
  2. 2. THE PORTABLE LETTER BOX LINER AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1, ALLOWS THE DELIVERERS HANDS TO REMAIN OUTSIDE THE LETTER BOX.
  3. 3. THE PORTABLE LETTER BOX LINER AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1 AND 2, ALLOWS THE UPSTAND TO ACT AS A BUFFER AGAINST THE LETTER BOX FRONT.
