Abstract

237,132. Cope, J. C. Sept. 30, 1924. Supplying consuming devices. - The head lights of a motor vehicle have a resistance 1 in circuit with them, the resistance being normally shorted by a switch 10 in its " on " position. Movement of the switch to its " off " position causes the lights to be dimmed. The resistance wire 1 is wound on a core 2 of slate and asbestos mixture &c. and is enclosed in a two part box 3, 4. The terminals 6, 7 of the resistance also secure the parts 3, 4 together. Holes 9 receive screws for fastening the box to the vehicle.
