Abstract

A device for displaying one or more CD, cassette, video or minidisk cases 1 comprises a frame into which a case can be inserted through a side opening 3,4. The case is held in position by a spring 2.

Description

AVM (Audio Visual Media) This invention relates to a storage system for audio-visual media. Many storage solutions exist for CDs, Cassettes, videos, mini-discs etc. They are generally of a stacking nature and do not allow visual appreciation of the packaging, which is often artistic.
I refer to CDs in the example below but the invention can be tailored to suit all forms of audio-visual media.
The present invention overcomes the drawbacks of other storage solutions. It is a picture frame where CDs can be slotted into place such that the covers of the CD are on permanent display. The arrangements can be altered to change the display and the CDs are easily accessible.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of examples with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1. Show several forms of the invention hanging from the internal wall of a house.

Figure 3. Side view illustrating access mechanism for CD's.
Referring to the drawing, Figure 1, the picture storer comprises a number of compartments which can be varied depending on what size frame is desired.
Referring to the drawing, Figure 2, the CD (1) is in place, the edge of the CD being partially covered by the frame in order to keep the CD in the picture storer. The CD is held in position by, for example, a spring (2) or similar means.
Referring to the drawing, Figure 3, the CD can be pushed into position via a slot in the top (3) or the side (4) or in the bottom.

Claims (1)

  1. Claims A picture storer comprises a frame with various slots through which audio-visual material can be pushed such that it is on visual display but also neatly stored.
    A picture storer as claimed in claim 1 where a means of catchment is provided on each pocket within the frame by means of a spring loaded catch.
    A picture storer as claimed in claim 1 where there is front access so that the CD's can be moved into position/pushed across so as to be ejected from the frame by hand.
    A picture storer substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1 to 3 and the accompanying drawings.
