Abstract

236,835. Alexander, H. G. Jan. 26, 1925. Openers.-A cylinder for a rag-picking machine comprises a metal cylinder 15, Fig. 2, with undercut grooves 16 in which are held toothed bars 20, Fig. 4. The bars have. flanges 22 and ane secured in pairs by bars 24 held by bolts 18. The teeth are radial and are staggered in adjacent bars. The cylinder is mounted by bolts 27 on spiders 26, secured to the shaft and is provided with end plates 28.
