Abstract
Educational or competitive games involve the revealing of printed images hidden by an overlying heat-sensitive ink layer so that the heat from an applied finger will expose the latent image(s). Preferably, the game is a memory game where opponents take it in turn to expose a sequence of images to score points, eg by correctly locating nominated landmarks on a map, Fig 2, but it can also be a target-hitting game, Fig 1, not shown. Another suggested game involves throwing dice to determine moves along a segmented path where hidden instructions are revealed once the player's token has landed on an appropriate segment. The heat-sensitivity can be reversible, and the game can be enacted on a board, with hand-held cards or in a book form.
Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
TURN BASED MEMORY GAME This invention is a turn based memory game where opponents try to find hidden images. There are many board games that encourage competitive memory. This game consists of one Sheet or many sheets of laminated paper or plastic printed with images that are hidden from View by heat sensitive ink, when heat is applied the hidden images become visible.
The properties of the special ink return slowly after heat is withdrawn.
The object of the game is for opponents to take turns to accurately expose hidden images By the heat of a person's finger pressing down against the heat sensitive area in a position That the opponent believes will reveal an image that the opponent wants to reveal.
If opponents agree that the image is accurately exposed Then a key chart relating to the exposed image is marked or ticked with felt tip Pens which could be of different colours to identify the different opponents.
The winner is the person who revealed and marked-off the most images against their opponent. The key chart represents the images that are hidden by the heat sensitive ink.
The key chart is printed along the edge in view and is the system for keeping score. The rnark or tick can be removed by wiping the laminated paper or plastic sheet with a Damp cloth for continue reuse.
The game could take the form of battle ships where opponents try to sink their opponent ships. Or as an educational game where opponents compete to identify the location of places hidden on A map or chart, these could be of historic or geographic importance.
Variations of the game could be in book form or hand held cards or a cardboard board game.

The inventions' components and their functions are described below With numbered reference to drawings provided.
Figure 1.
Area masked by heat sensitive ink hiding images underneath, on one sheet of laminated paper Key chart showing all images to be found, not masked by the special ink.
Key chart showing an image ticked or marked as a hit.
Part on heat sensitive area that has been exposed by heat of a finger showing a hit. Part on heat sensitive area showing a miss.
Figure 2.
Area of interest masked by heat sensitive ink hiding names. Key chart showing names yet to be found.
Key chart showing in sequence names to be found and marked. Area exposed by heat of finger showing name of interest.

Claims (10)
- CLAIMS A turn based memory game consisting of a sheet or sheets of paper or plastic printed with images hidden by heat sensitive ink, Wherein opponents use the heat of their fingers to touch the ink in an attempt to find and expose the hidden images relating to images on a key chart that is used to mark-off the images found and record scores, all in view on the same sheet.
- 2. A turn based memory game as claimed in claim I wherein each opponent has a set of images that the other opponent must find and mark-off on the key chart to win.
- 3. A turn based memory game as claimed in claim I wherein opponents search for images in sequence in the correct order shown on the key chart.
- 4. A turn based memory game as claimed in claim I Wherein opponents search for multiple images of the same appearance using multiple fingers each time.
- 5. A turn based memory game as claimed in claim 1.2.3.4. Wherein an area is completely masked by heat sensitive ink with hidden images large enough to be exposed with accurate and precise positioning of the touch of the finger's heat.
- 6. A turn based game as claimed in claims 1.2.3.4. Wherein images hidden are hidden behind solid blocks or other images of heat sensitive ink, not hiding their location or position.
- 7. A turn based memory game as claimed in the above claims Wherein the game is in the form of educational learning identifying the location of landmarks and or places of historic or geographical importance on maps or charts of different countries and or naming parts of objects.
- 8. A turn based memory game as claimed in claims 1.2.3.4.5.6.7. Wherein the format is placed in book form with pages and a spine.
- 9. A turn based memory game as claimed in claim 1.2.3.4.6.7. Wherein the format is in the form of hand held cards.
- 10. A turn based memory game as claimed in claims 6. Wherein the format is in the form of a board game with dice and plastic figures. The object being to throw a dice and move the plastic figures accordingly along a path or blocks made out of heat sensitive ink with instructions hidden from view that can only be read when a player lands on the path or blocks.
