Abstract

A tool box includes a base 10 having a plurality of partitions 11 and a space 20 defined therein and a cover 100 pivotally connected to the base 10 so that tools are received in the partitions. A box 21 is removably received in the space 20 in the base 10 and includes a base and a pivotally connected cover. Partitions are defined in the box 21 for receiving tools. A plurality of securing members 22 are located in the space 20 so as to securely position the box 21.

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> TOOL BOX HAVING AN AUXILIARY BOX RECEIVED THEREIN FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a tool box which has a base and a cover wherein a space is defined in the base for receiving an auxiliary box which is convenient for being carried.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION A conventional tool box generally includes a base and a cover which is pivotally connected to the base. A plurality of partitions are Mined in the base so that variety of tools can be received in the partitions. In order to have more tools to received in a tool box, the base is made to includes several layers and each layer has partitions so that more tools are received in the tool box. Although such a tool box has the advantage for carrying more tools, it is heavy and inconvenient for being carried. Actually, the users always use very few tools during working on an object so that too many tools cannot provide extra advantages for the users.
The present invention intends to provide a tool box having an auxiliary box which can be take out from the tool box and receives necessary tools such that the users take only few tools which are necessary.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a tool box and comprising a first base having a plurality of partitions and a space respectively defined therein and a first cover pivotally connected to the base. A box is removably received in the space in the base and includes a second base and a second cover which is pivotally connected to the second base. A plurality of partitions are defined in the second base. Therefore, tools which are needed are received in the box which is take from the tool box so that the user only take the small box with him/her.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a tool box that has an auxiliary box removably received therein so that users take the box in which necessary tools are received.
These and further objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, several embodiments in accordance with the present invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OFT THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is an exploded view to show a tool box and an auxiliary box of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a perspective view to show the tool box in which the auxiliary box is received; Fig. 3 is a cross sectional view to show the tool box with the auxiliary box received therein; Fig. 4 is an exploded view to show the tool box and the opened auxiliary box of the present invention, and Fig. 5 is an exploded view to show the tool box and two auxiliary boxes of the present invention wherein the two auxiliary boxes are respectively received in the base and the cover of the tool box.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIIVIENTS Referring to Figs. 1 to 4, the tool box of the present invention comprises a , first base 10 having a plurality of partitions 11 and a first space 20 respectively defined therein, and a first cover 100 is pivotally connected to the base 10. A plurality of securing members 22 are located on an inside defining the first space 20 and each securing member 22 has a ridge extending from a side thereof and toward the first space 20. Tools 22 are received in the partitions 11 and secured by

positioning members 13 located on an inside of the partitions. The base 10 has partitions 11' defined therein for receiving tools such as sockets 120 therein.
A first auxiliary box 21 is removably received in the first space 20 in the base 10 and is positioned by the securing members 22. The first auxiliary box 21 includes a second base 210 and a second cover 211 which is pivotally connected to the second base 210.A plurality of partitions 22 are defined in the second base 210 for receiving tools therein.
Therefore, uses may take the first auxiliary box 21 from the tool box and necessary tools are picked from the tool box and received in the first auxiliary box 21. This could effectively reduce the weight of the tool box that the user has to carry.
As shown in Fig. S, a second space 101 is defined in the first cover 100 and a second box 21' is removably received in the second space 101. The size or the types of partitions of the first auxiliary box 21 and the second auxiliary box 21' are different so that the users have another choice for the box to be carried.
While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.

Claims (6)

  1. WHAT IS CLAIMED IS: 1. A tool box comprising: a first base having a plurality of partitions and a first space respectively defined therein and a first cover pivotally connected to said base, and a first box removably received in said first space in said base and having a second base and a second cover which is pivotally connected to said second base, a plurality of partitions defined in said second base.
  2. 2. The tool box as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a plurality of securing members located on an inside defining said first space so as to securely position said first box.
  3. 3. The tool box as claimed in claim 2 wherein each securing member having a ridge extending from a side thereof and toward said first space.
  4. 4. The tool box as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a second space defined in said first cover and a second box removably received in said second space.
  5. 5 A tool box containing an auxiliary box substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to and as shown in Figures 1 to 4 of the accompanying drawings.
  6. 6. A tool box substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to and as shown in Figure 5 of the accompanying drawings.
