Abstract
A template for marking the position of an electrical socket box or the like comprises a plastic plate having two apertures which correspond in size to single and double boxes. In use, the template may be placed such that the apertures are at a recommended height from floor level. Preferably the template includes a spirit level.

Description of Invention Title; Fastfix Template This invention relates to a plastic template, designed for the purpose of obtaining a true and concise fit for the installation of Dry Lining Boxes.
The plastic would be of a type that would be transparent and the overall width (C) would be 300mm, the most popular choice with regard to the centre of a double socket from floor level.
The template will consist of a main body of plastic with three cut-outs as per Fig one.
Cut -out as shown as (A) in Fig one will be the size of a single dry lining box Cut- out as shown as (B) in Fig one will be the size of a double dry lining box The third cut-out would accommodate the spirit level to ensure that the template in square on the wall.
The Template overall consist of a cut -out the size of a single dry lining box adjacent to cut -out of double dry lining box. The allowance left between the two cut-outs ensures a consistant space between boxes whilst retaining the strength required in the plasterboard to support to box lugs.

The Fast fix template as described and as shown in Fig one will ensure a level and consistently tight hole(s) will be cut to accommodate dry lining boxes regularly used in the electrical wiring trade. The template gives exact cut out sizes for both single and double boxes. Placing the cut-outs adjacent to each other also gives the optimum distance between two boxes with regard to strength and aesthetic appeal. This template ensures that an accurate hole can be cut into plasterboard for use with a dry lining box especially, as is the usual, cables are already extruding from the said plasterboard.

Claims (1)
- Claims I An Fastfix Template is a plastic template with two cutouts the size of a single and a double dry lining box 2 An Fastfix Template according to claim one whereby the overall size equates to the accepted height for sockets, spur units or double pole switches from floor level. 3 An Fastfix Template according to claim two incorporates a small spirit level to ensure boxes are mounted squarely to the floor 4 An Fastfix Template according to claims one or two whereby the cut-outs (A) and (B) correspond respectively with the cut-out sizes required for a single and double dry lining box. 5 An Fastfix Template as hereinbefore described and as shown in accompanying drawing.
