Abstract

The sparker/spacer plate is fitted between the cylinder head and the cylinder block and comprises a positive plate 1, a negative plate 2 and insulation layers 3. The positive and negative plates 1, 2 may be of steel and formed to the shape of the engine. The positive plate 1 has a sparker ring and fire wall 4 with high tension contacts 5. The sparker/spacer plate system may be used in converting a diesel engine to run on LPG or natural gas by both lowering the compression ratio and giving a source of spark.

Description

2364098 INTERNAL COMBUSTION SPARKER SPACER PLATE.
This invention relates to a spacer plate that allows a spark to each combustion chamber of a internal combustion engine without the use of conventional screw in spark plugs.
This invention is a spacer plate and spark igniter, the spacer's are designed to reduce the compression on diesel engines and give a source of spark.
According to the present invention there is a number of formed sheets of steel that are shaped to a given pattern of each given shape of each engine to be fitted to.
There are two conductor plates /sheets and two insulator sheets both formed to the shape of each given engine.
Each steel sheet would conduct electricity charge through them, one would be a positive charge and the other would be a negative charge both would be insulted from the other by the other two insulator sheets.
With this invention the positve charge would travel from one plate to the other and spark out and produce a spark to ignite the fuel gas /air mixture in the combustion chamber.
This invention allows a spark systems to be fitted in between the cylinder head and engine block of a diesel engine to allow easy conversion of diesel engine to lpg gas or natural gas running instead of diesel running.
