Abstract

The device enables users of hearing aids to hear a mobile phone by means of an inductive link. The device has a 2.5mm jack plug to connect to a mobile phone, this unit contains the amplifier and is powered by 2 'n' size batteries and has a belt clip for location. Both the phone and the coil cables wind in a recess in the device. The coil assembly has a Velcro back with either a clothing clip or a neck loop fitting.

Description

k 1 . 2363540 LNDUCTIVE ISSION POWER SUPPLY Tffis invention relates to an
inductive trarisrnission power supply.
To use a hearing aid with a mobile phone is at present impossible due to large amounts of feedback and interference. This invention enables the user to receive transmissions clearly without any interference or feedback. This dramatically improves the quality of life for hearing aid users.
The device is designed to enable wearers of hearing aids to be able to hold a conversation on a mobile phone without serious interference. This device is worn on clothing of the person and therefore avoids the need for headsets or attached assemblies. This is acffieved by connecting the inductive device to the mobile phone.
The invention relates to a power supply and amplifier circuit enabling the efficient transformation of audio frequency electrical signals from a telephone to magnetic signals for the purpose of magnetic loop telemetry. The pickup is by means of a hearing aid or magnetic earpiece, which is not part of this claim. It also produces a high level magnetic field by means of a push pull amplifier driving a double wound loop coil.
The invention transforms the telephone audio signal into a magnetic signal.

Claims (2)

  1. The audio signal is received via a connector from the handset via point B and AC coupled via Cl the signal is then divided by RI and R2 then is fed to the amplifier input of IC I pin
  2. 2. The amplified signal is then sent to the coil via points F and G.
Power is supplied to the circuit via SW1. C2 and C3 stabilise the supply voltage. R3, D 1 and 1C2 are used as a battery low indicator.
