Abstract

A golf tee wherein a releasably or permanently attached two fingered grip B is provided on either the leg C of the tee or the cup A. The tee may be formed as a single piece. The grip allows the tee to be easily inserted or retracted from the soil.

2363080 Page 1 ALL WEATHER GOLF TEE This invention relates to an all
weather golf tee.
Golf Tees are well known devices the main function of which is to allow a golf ball to be securely held at either a desired, or pre-determined height, from the ground. The most commonly used Golf Tee is a one piece construction, comprising two essential parts a leg, which is inserted into the ground and a cup, on which a golf ball is placed The above described Golf Tee however, lacks a sufficient gripping area, making it difficult to apply the necessary downward pressure needed to overcome the resistance of sun baked, or semi frozen soil. This then necessitates the use of alternative fixed height Tees, which are designed to lay upon the surface of the ground.
According to the present invention there is provided a Golf Tee, wherein a two fingered grip being releasably or permanently attached, to either the leg of the tee or the cup, lies horizontally to the tee. The whole being of a one or more piece construction.

Figure 1 Shows in perspective the golf tee with the two fingered grip B located for example at and running horizontally to, the base of the cup A and leg C.
Figure 2 Shows a birds eye view of the cup, A and two fingered grip B. Referring to the drawing, the Golf Tee comprises a Cup A, a horizontal two fingered grip B, Leg of tee C. The whole Tee being of a one or more piece construction.
In order to insert the Tee into the ground the horizontal grip B is held between two fingers allowing significantly increased downward pressure to be applied to the cup A by either palm of hand or thumb. This allows normal control over height that the use of such a tee gives, even with adverse ground conditions.

    I An all weather golf tee wherein a releasably or permanently attached two fingered grip is provided, to either the leg of the tee or the cup.
  2. 2 An all weather golf tee as described substantially herein with reference to figures 1-2 of the accompanying drawings.
