Abstract
The present invention provides a golf tee wherein a Step is provided in specific heights based on the height of the Step built into the varying golf tees; when placed into the ground, the desired golf ball height is attained by the tee selected.
Description
- This invention relates to golfing accessories; this product is a new “Golf Tee” which produces a consistent tee height for golfers and gives them the ability to reproduce varying tee heights for different clubs and shots required.
- It is critical to a golfer that he or she be able to repeat a swing in a consistent manner each time to produce the same result; one of the most critical elements in producing a consistent shot is when the clubface makes contact with the golf ball. Golfer's use different tee heights for different clubs, it is vital that he or she be able to position tees at that same height consistently for different clubs. Similar attempts to produce these desired results are as follows:
- U.S. Pat. No. 6,960,143—This patent describes an ordinary golf tee and does not produce the desired claims our product states.
- U.S. Pat. No. 6,932,722—This patent describes a golf tee setter and storage device which is a very cumbersome, complicated and an constitutes an additional cost in which to produce the desired tee height.
- U.S. Pat. No. D511,193—This patent describes a golf tee that's ornamental in nature and does not produce the desired claim our product states.
- U.S. Pat. No. 5,885,174—This patent describes a golf tee setter and storage device which is a very cumbersome, complicated and constitutes an additional cost in which to produce the desired tee height.
- U.S. Pat. No. 5,085,431—This patent describes a golf tee and placement tool that is very complicated and includes a part which functions as golf tee and easily lost.
- In view of the foregoing disadvantages; cumbersome, complicated and increased costs inherent in the known types of golf ball support structures now present in the prior inventions, the new type of tee is designed in such a way to stop the tee penetration into the earth at specified depth resulting in a protrusion of a tee at the varying different heights. It's a simple, consistent and cost effective way to produce a perfect tee height for varying tee shots. We will show ½ step tees; each constructed to produce the varying heights in ⅛ inch intervals producing heights ranging from a ¼″ tee height up to 2½″ inches above ground.
- The drawing shows the assortment of tees with heights varying from ¼″ inch to 2½″ inches. The shape of the (10) “Base” can vary, it does not have to be this shape; the most important factor is that whatever shapes the “Base” takes on, the “Collar” portion where the “Base” meets the “Stem” needs to be sufficient to stop the penetration of the stem into the earth at the desired tee height.
- The Stem can be various lengths to accommodate the height and ball weight, the height of the Stems shown in this picture are 1″ inch in length.
- In accordance with the present invention, the invention may be made of metal, plastic or any other economic and easily worked material.
FIG. 1 &FIG. 2 show the design with the Step and the Stem. The Step will be made with varying heights ranging from ¼″ to 2½″ to produce the desired tee heights. The Stem will be produced in appropriate and varying lengths to support the varying Steps.
Claims (1)
1. A new tee design constructed for consistently positioning a golf ball at a correct height for a tee shot. The tees will provide a consistent method of attaining the exact same height preferred by selecting a tee with the desired height marking. An assortment of similarly constructed tees will be provided, allowing a golfer to select tee heights from ¼inch to 2½″ inches in height.
