Separating oil from gases.-In an enclosed gas compressor for refrigerating purposes the delivery pipe w is connected to an oil separator integral with the cover plate b closing one end of the crank casing and comprising a tubular stem with an oil outlet 10 into the casing and a lateral gas outlet 11 to a chamber having a gas outlet 13 and a helical oil passage 14 leading to the crank casing. A sight glass 19 is provided by which: the oil level is observed.
