DESCRIPTION
STAINLESS STEEL CENTRE BEARING ACCESS ASSEMBLY This invention relates to a Centre Bearing Access Assembly used for and on rotating scraper bridges for sewerage / effluent processing.
Centre bearing are used for the end and central support of a half and full bridge scraper bridges.
The Centre Bearing Access Assembly consists of tripod stand to which a level plate is attached via 8 nwnber threaded rods. Attached to the level plate on the top surface a robella ring type bearing. Fixed to the top of the ring bearing is a circularflixing ring. This sits inside a rectangular plate called a pivot plate. Joining the pivot plate, and fixing ring is a circular donut ring called the joining ring. The pivot plate also has 4 number jacking screws attached to plate to support bridge during assembly and disassembly procedure. Also attached to this plate is are 2 number plumber blocks to which the bridge support brackets are attached to allow bridge to undulate due to imperfections in the running wall heights.
The detailed description below makes reference to the Figures 1-3
Figure 1 shows elevations and plans of the Centre Bearing Access Assembly. Item 0 1 is the Centre Bearing Access Assembly's main body shown in-situ.
Figure 2 shows the assembly of all the components. Note jacking screws left out for clarity.
Figure 3 shows individual components that make up the bearing assembly.

Claims (4)

  1. A Centre Bearing Access Assembly for supporting scraper bridges and allowing it to rotate. The assembly may be of various materials and diameters. The Centre Bearing Access Assembly consists of group of plates that interlock with each other, which secure the bridge to the tripod support structure.
  2. 2. As claim 1 wherein the assembly can be accessed from bridge structure.
  3. 3. As claim 1, 2 and 3 assembly can be accessed without draining the tank.
  4. 4. As claim 1,2,3 and 4 bearing can removed and re assembled without the need of major shut down of plant.
