Specification
A Water Display Unit for Flowers This is a unit that a florist in a retail outlet would use to display flowers.
The conventional method of storing and displaying flowers in a retail outlet, is using a number of buckets of various shapes and sizes containing water either standing alone or part of a display stand. t These buckets require to be lifted to the nearest sink and filled with water, every couple of days in order to provide fresh water for the flowers to mature.
This unit provides the flonist with a display unit for flowers where the water can be change as and when required, without the need for handling buckets.
This is a flower display unit which maybe of any length and containing any number of receptacles to suit the requirements of the retail outlet be it a small flower shop or supermarket, displaying and selling flowers.
The unit maybe a free standing and connected to a cold water supply and drainage systm.
Each receptacle or fixed bucket within the unit maybe inter-connected by means of pipework.
The control of the water system maybe operated by either an automatic or manual control valve on the cold water inlet and drainage pipework.
A means of filtering the water within each container would be incorporated as it Is essential that dead leaves and foliage do not clog up the drainage system.
A feature of the unit is the relative ease that the flowers can be replenished with fresh water as and when required without the need to move buckets or flowers.
In order to maintain the high quality of water required to develop the flowers. An automatic dosing unit can be added as an optional extra which be incorporated into the pipework in order to provide the flowers with treated water.
A Water Display Unit for Flowers Fig 1.
The water is introduced into the containers via the header pipe (3). The inlet valve (2) is used to introduce the water to the unit while the outlet valve (4) is use to drain the water from the unit. The coupling (6) is used to attach the header pipe to the containers. Should it be necessary to replace any container, this can be done by simply unscrewing the coupling and replacing a damaged container. The containers (1) can be any size or shape to suit the flowers on the display. A removable sieve (5) is fitted in each container and collects left over leaves or foliage, this can be emptied and cleaned before refilling with fresh water.
Fig 2 and Fig 3.
A basic unit with its outer easing (7) this supports the inner unit Fig 1. The inlet valve (2) and outlet valve (4) are connected to the external services. Access for maintenance purposes would normally be from the back by uncoupling the valves and moving the unit out from the wall. An automatic-liquid flower dosing unit as an optional extra could be fitted on to the inlet cold water pipework..
Fig 4 and Fig 5.
A two row unit, which can be any length and any number of containers to suit the requirements of a retail outlet. The two row unit can also be constructed in a right angle arrangement to suit the requirements of a retail outlet where shop space may be restricted Fig 6 and Fig7. A three row unit, suitable for bigger retail outlets where floor space and height can accommodate this size of unit Fig 8 and Fig 9. A circular unit, which could be suitable for a supermarket, access to this unit for maintenance purposes would be via the centre opening at the top.
