Abstract

The water proof alarm unit indicates when the water has reached the required level in a bath during filling. It comprises, a float (1) attached to an arm (2) which rise with the water level, a switch (3) tripped by an end of the arm (2) energising a sounder (4) when the required liquid level is reached. The unit also includes, a sucker (5) for attaching it to a surface of the bath, a power source (6), a test button (8) and a speaker vent (7). The alarm can be either audible or visual and the power source for the unit can be battery, mains electricity, solar or clockwork.

Description

2360091 THE WATER LEVEL BATH ALARM When running a bath there is a danger
of forgetting or misjudgeing the water level which can lead to overspill or floods causing damage to property and causing stress to the person involved.
There is a need to provide a practical convieniant safe method of alerting the user of the water level, for safetey reasons as well as the fact of allowing the user, his or hers desired accurate level for economical purposes or for children safety purposes.
According to this invention there is provided a waterproof battery operated alarm unit. Which is triggered on to sound the alarm, by an arm type object with a float attached undernieth which rises with the level of the water pushing the float and arm up to connect to set alarm to alert sound.
THE DTION will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which FIGURE 1 shows the perspective of the water level bath alarm with a front on view.
FIGURE 2 shows a side on view to show the sucker pad 5 and battery 6.
To trigger the alarm the float 1 rises along with arm 2 from the water level pushing arm 2 Into trigger switch 3 then setting alarm alert 4 alarm noise being sent through speaker vent 7.
To test alarm first, press test button 8.
To fix the unit to the bath use sucker pad 5.

Claims (1)

  1. A water level alarm has a float object which rises with the water level to trigger the alert sound or flash. In the unit the alarm is powered by means of battery mains, sola power or wind up form which are all fully water proof with a test button for safetey.
A water level alarm as claimed in Claim 1 wherin the water level alarm fixes to the surface by means of a sucker pad which can be pushed on to the unit to then stick onto the surface, or may be fixed with a holder or clipp.
A water level alarm substantially as decribed herein with reference to Figures 1-2 of the accompanyin drawing.
