Soap, nail brush, and like stands and holders. -A holder and draining device for soap, sponges, nail brushes, &c. is provided with a reticulated or openwork grid consisting of, or having cross-bars intersecting or croissing each other, and of which one or more is or are undulating and/or higher at the middle than elsewhere. The area of the open space's is preferably greater than that occu-- pied by the bars, and the latter may be notched or roughened on their upper edges. The rim or sides of the stand may flare outwardly at the top and may be scalloped or undulating at the upper edge. Figs. 2 and 3 show a form having a scalloped and flared rim a, with an inclined internal ledge b and a grid formed of two pairs of cross-bars c, d and e, f, the latter pair being bent upwardly to pass over the bars c, d. Notches g are formed in the lower edge of the rim a fordrainage. The form shown in Fig. 6 has intersecting undulated bars l, m, n of square section. In modification, the bars o, p, Fig. 8, are of triangular section and rise from the edges to the point of intersection and are notched at their upper edges. Fig. 12 shows a form for insertion in a soap dish 7, comprising a plain grid or perforated bottom 4 with a flange, z having its upper edge notched and sloping inwardly, and undulating intersecting bars 2. 3. A similar form is described for insertion in a lavatory basin. The form shown in Fig. 15 is adapted to be made of enamelled or plated metal. The bars 10, 11 are made of bent metal strips and provided with lugs 12 passing through holes in the circular wall 13.
