Abstract
A sunshade for a computer which may be detachable or attached either internally or externally to a computer. The sunshade may be operated manually or by command from the computer. The sunshade may be joined internally to the computer or attached to the computer screen edge 3 or may be detached/attached independently from the computer. It may be positioned or designed in various ways to provide differing angles of shade from glare and sunlight. There may be rods or fastenings 2,7 to hold the sunscreen in place and there may be fastenings to attach it to the computer 3. The side parts 6 and top part 5 may be able to fold, roll or extend outwards or inwards.
Description
2359231 1 Sunshade for computer This invention relates to a sunshade. The
sunshade may be internally stored inside the computer, integrated into the edge of the computer surrounding of the computer screen or used as a detachable sunshade. Ifs purpose is to provide shade to a computer and enable the user to take the computer outside in the sunshine or in bright lights and still be able to view the computer screen.
When using a computer outside in the sunlight it is not possible to see the screen due to glare from the sun. Since portable computers are designed to be used outdoors and indoors this can be a problem to the user, limiting the places and weather in which they may use their computer.
An object of this invention is to provide shade for the computer screen in bright lights and sunshine, preventing glare from the sun and to enabling the user to make full use of the advantage of portable computers.
Accordingly, this invention provides a sunshade which may be incorporated into the edge of the computer screen surrounding or it may be detachable. It may be accessed or unlocked by use of button or command or manually. It may be stored on rollers inside the machine. It may be integrated to the computer and folded into the screen or it may be folded in to the screen and detachable. There may be rods or fastenings to hold the sunscreen in place when it is being used. There may also be fastenings to hold the screen to the computer if it is detachable.

Figure 1/3 shows a side/face on view of the sunshade attached to the computer screen base.
Figure 2/3 shows a side/face on view of a shortened sided style shade attached to the computer screen base.
Figure 3/3 shows a back view of the shade in its detachable style.
As shown in Figure 1/3, the sunshade comprises of a top part 5, which connects to two side parts 6 which may fasten together with connectors 7. This style sunshade is integrated into the computer screen edge or base 1. It may be stored on rollers which may be stored internally or externally or joined to the computer screen base 3. It may be held in position with rods 2. The side parts 6 and top part 5 may fold in towards the computer for storage or be stored internally, maybe on rollers inside the computer. The computer screen 4. The side parts 6 and top part 5 may be designed in a way that enables them to be positioned at various angles As shown in Figure 2/3, this style sunshade has the side parts 6 shortened for a neater appearance. The same details as shown for Figure 1/3 apply.
As shown in Figure 3/3, this style sunshade may be detachable and may be a fold in design. It may have fastenings 3 to attach it to the computer. The same details as shown for Figure 1/3 apply to the numbered diagram.
Claims (4)
1. A sunshade for a computer which may be incorporated into or onto a computer. The sunshade may be integrated into or onto the computer or detachable from it. The sunshade may be accessed by using a command on the computer or be manually set up. It has an upper part and two side parts to form the sunshade which will shade the computer screen. These may be held in position with fastenings or rods. The sunshade may be made from any type of material. The side and top parts of the sunshade may vary in size and shape and dimensions as required. The side and top parts of the sunshade may be adjustable.
2. A sunshade for a computer as claimed in claim 1 which may have hinges to hold together the upper part and side parts to enable them to fold inwards or outwards.
3. A sunshade as claimed in claim 1 and 2 which may be detachable and may have fastenings to attach the sunshade to the computer.
4. A sunshade substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-3 of the accompanying drawing.
