Abstract
Rug Anti-Creep is sprayed directly onto the back of a rug, mat or door mat. The spray foams on contact with a rug to prevent penetration through the rug, then collapses upon drying to become transparent.

An aerosol spray containing an adhesive which when sprayed onto the surface of the underside of a rug, door mat, mat firmly holds them in place.
Stops rugs, door mats and mats creeping and also acts as an anti-slip agent when any of these items are placed on hard flooring. 'Me spray is formulated to rapidly foam up on immediate contact with the underside of the mentioned items. This prevents the adhesive from sinking into the rug and through to the pile. As the adhesive dries from its foam form it becomes unable to travel through the surface of the backing and into the pile which should this travel to the surface of the pile the rug would be spoilt, hence the foaming action.
When dry, the foam will have collapsed and taken on a transparent appearance (from white when applied). The adhesive, although having the ability to grip, all other surfaces will remain on the backing of the rug and not transfer itself to any surface which it comes into contact with. Consequently, should the rug or mat be lifted for any reason all of the adhesive remains on the back of the rug and is reusable.

- CLAIMS (GB 9929854.9)A Rug Anti-Creep which is a modified polymer emulsion with increased viscosity which combined with the use of a suitable propellant in an aerosol can, allows it to be sprayed directly on to textiles and fabrics without the contents being allowed to penetrate into the fabric or textiles, this prevents when sprayed onto the back of rugs, mats and door mats lateral movement on the surfaces which they are laid on to.
