A material for use in removing unwanted matter comprises a liquid absorbing powder having mixed therewith one or more of a perfume ingredient, a deodorant ingredient and a disinfectant ingredient.

Description

2356813 METHOD, APPARATUS AND MATERIAL FOR REMOVING UNWANTED MATTER The
present invention relates to method, apparatus and material for removing unwanted matter including blood spillage, the results of incontinence and more particularly to the removal of vomit which has been deposited on a surface such as a floor.
According to the present invention a material for use in removing unwanted matter comprises a liquid absorbing powder having mixed therewith one or more of a perfume ingredient, a deodorant ingredient and a disinfectant ingredient.
The material may be dispensed from a variety of types of container, for example, by being shaken through a dispensing aperture of the container.
According to one aspect of the present invention the absorbent powder could be a polymer and more specifically a cross-linked sodium polyacrylate.
According to a second aspect of the present invention the powder could incorporate any one or more of the following constituents:
a) Acidic pH modifiers; b) Anionic surfactants.
The disinfectant could comprise magnesium bis (2/carboxylate-mono peroxy benzoic acid), hexahydrate.
The acidic pH modifiers could comprise one or more of a sodium hydrogen sulphate, a boric acid, a disodium tetraborate and/or a benzoic acid.
The anionic surfactants could comprise one or more of a sodium cumene sulphonate and/or an aryl sulphonate.

Claims (3)

1. A material for use in removing unwanted matter comprises a liquid absorbing powder having mixed therewith one or more of a perfume ingredient, a deodorant ingredient and a disinfectant ingredient.
2. A container incorporating the material of claim 1.
3. A method of removing unwanted matter which comprises dispensing the said material from the said container of claim 2.
