Description

2355550 WATCH HAVING A LIP-PALETTE The present invention relates to a
portable watch to be worn on a user's wrist or neck, and more particularly, to a watch having a lip-palette, configured to allow a rouge for lip cosmetics to be conveniently stored and used.
As is known well, cosmetic materials for preventing the skin from aging and for pursuing beauty have been actively developed, and many attempts to increase the convenience in use of cosmetics are progressing.
In particular, lip cosmetic products which are most frequently worn by women are usually carried as women's necessities, and ease of use and storage thereof becomes more important.
is A conventional lip cosmetic product is generally classified as a lipstick type, a lip-palette type or a lip-pencil type. In the lipstick type, a stick-type rouge is directly applied to lips. In the lip-palette type, a rouge accommodated in a lip palette is indirectly 20 applied to lips by means of a lip brush. In the lippencil type, a rouge made of a relatively hard material and inserted into a rod-shaped body is directly applied to lips. However, since the conventional lip cosmetic product is 25 fabricated such that a rouge and its container are separately provided, it is quite inconvenient to store and use the lip cosmetic product.
It has been desired to provide a watch having a lip palette which can conveniently store a rouge for use as a lip cosmetic.
According to the invention, there is provided a watch having a lip-palette, including a first case in which watch components including a time display portion for displaying time, a manipulating portion for setting time and a power source, are installed, a second case having rouge accommodating slots, and rotatably connected to the first case by means of rotatable connecting means to be opened or closed by the first case, and banding means connected to the first and second case or the rotatable connecting means.
The present invention will become more apparent by describing in detail a preferred embodiment thereof with reference to the attached drawings in which:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a watch having a lip palette according to a first embodiment of the present invention; FIG.2 illustrates the watch shown in FIG.1 with the second case open; FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the watch having a lip-palette according to a second embodiment of the present invention; FIG.4 illustrates the watch shown in FIG.3 with the second case open; FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the watch having a lip palette according to a third embodiment of the present invention; and FIG.6 illustrates the watch shown in FIG.5 with the second case open.
3 Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a watch having a lip- palette according to a first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 illustrates the watch shown in FIG. I with the second case open. Referring to FIGS.1 and 2, a casing, which is a main body of a watch 1 of the present invention, is divided into a first case 2 and a second case 3, which are connected to be capable of being vertically opened or closed by means of a rotatable connecting means la. In the first case 2 are installed watch components including a time display portion 2a for displaying time, a manipulating portion for setting time and a power sources (not shown). Rouge accommodating slots 3a and 3b are formed in the second case 3, and a lip brush accommodating portion 3c, in which an inner slot is formed lengthwise, is formed across the rouge accommodating slots 3a and 3b, so that the rouge accommodating slots 3a and 3b are separated into two sections in view of the lip brush accommodating portion 3c to be led into the inner hole of the lip brush accommodating portion 3c to form an exposure slot 3e opened outward. Then, a lip brush 4 is inserted into the lip brush accommodating portion 3c through an opening 3d of the lip brush accommodating portion 3c to then be seated. Also, wrist-banding means 5 and 6 are provided in the second case 3. In this embodiment, the wristbanding means are a first wrist connecting member 5 having a plurality of fixing holes 5a disposed at a predetermined interval and a second wrist connecting member 6 having an reinforcement element 6a and an edge locking member 7. However, the wrist-banding means are not limited to those used in the present invention and any wrist-banding means that are known in the art can be used.
In the first embodiment of the present invention, the first case 2 and the second case 3 are vertically opened or closed by means of the rotatable connecting means la. However, as shown in FIGS.3 and 4, the first case 2 and the second case 3 can be horizontally opened or closed by means of a rotatable connecting means lb.
Also, as shown in FIGS.5 and 6, the first case 2 and the second case 3 can be connected to be capable of being horizontally opened or closed by means of a rotatable connecting means 1c, and a neck-banding means 8 may be connected to the rotatable connecting means 1c.
Further, in the case where a reflecting mirror 2c is fixed on the inner surface of the first case 2, as shown in FIG.2, or where a reflecting mirror 2d is fixed on the outer surface of the first case 2, it is not necessary to use a separate mirror for make-up, thereby facilitating the user's convenience.
The second case 3, used as the lip palette, need not have the lip brush accommodating portion 3c and the exposure slot 3e shown in the first, second and third embodiments. However, in this case, the user must separately carry the lip brush 4, which is undesirable. Also, the rouge accommodating slots 3a and 3b may be arbitrarily separated as needed.
A method of using the watch 1 according to the first or second embodiment of the present invention will now be described. At ordinary times, as shown in FIG. 1 or 3, the watch 1 being in a closed state is worn on the wrist of a user to be used in the same manner as a conventional watch. At make-up times, as shown in FIG. 2 or 4, the first case 2 is opened and then a rouge 10 is applied to lips by means of the lip brush 4.
Next, a method of using the watch 1 according to the third embodiment of the present invention will be described. At ordinary times, the watch 1 being in a closed state is worn around the neck of a user to be used in the same manner as a conventional necklace-type watch. At make-up times, as shown in FIG.6, the first case 2 is opened and the rouge 10 is applied to lips by means of the lip brush 4.
The present invention can be applied to not only a digital watch, like in the first, second and third embodiments, but also an analog watch having an hour hand, a minute hand and a second hand.
As described above, according to the present invention, the casing consisting of a main body of a watchis divided into a first case in which watch components are installed and a second case in which rouge accommodating slots are formed, and the first and second cases are connected by means of rotatable connecting means, thereby conveniently storing rouge for use as a lip cosmetic.
