Abstract
235,485. Lobnitz & Co., Ltd., and Bedgood, H. O. Jan. 3, 1925. Anchors, mooring. - Means for anchoring dredges particularly dredges of the forward feed type comprises one or more long members a carried fore and aft of the ship and provided with a plurality of projections t, such as flat or concave discs, polygonal plates, or anchor flukes which engage the ground. The members are supported from the vessel by hauling lines c, d arranged laterally and other lines k, p running fore and aft and passing over fair leads on booms m, r. All the lines are led to drums on a common winch and by manipulating the hauling in or out of the appropriate lines, the dredge can be advanced or retracted or steered to make a lateral cut.
