Abstract

235,330. McChesney, P. J. March 26, 1924. Reservoir pads.-A device for distributing ink, gum, &c., comprises a container communicating with a casing 1 which is provided with a pad 6 yieldingly retained against an edge of the casing and adapted, when pressed against the surface under treatment, to be displaced to permit flow of liquid. The pad is secured to a hinged plate, 4 held normally in position by springs 5. A partition 7 may be provided in the casing, the partition being formed with one or more apertures against which the pad may be held. Where an aperture is provided it is of maximum width at the centre of the partition and terminates preferably at a short distance from the lateral edges thereof. The pad 6, instead of being hinged, may be arranged to have sliding movement.
