Abstract

The bowl comprises a double-walled container 1,5 and a non-leaking lid 2 having an open area 10 for the pets to access the drinking water in the bowl. The lid has a semi-circular construction to direct water back into the bowl. A floating disk 3, comprising two layers (figure 5), floats inside the bowl on the surface of the water preventing the water from creating waves or splashes when a shock force is applied to the bowl. The bowl may also have a slip ring located in a circular track in the bottom of the bowl to prevent sliding.

Description

1 2352610 ANTI SPLASH PET WATER BOWL This invention relates to an " Anti
splash Pet water bowl".
Pet water bowls are well known objects which contain drinking water for pets such as Dogs, Cat...etc. At the present time there are many types of Pet water bowls on the market, some have been designed to overcome splashing when accidentally kicked by having none slip rubber grips at the bottom, a cone shaped bowl, a high wall bowls or the most popular heavy ceramic bowls.
However these bowls still have problems with splashing water on the floor and are quite expensive as they are mainly made of heavy ceramic or metal.
SPECIFICATION:
According to the present invention there is provided a plastic ". Anti'splash Pet water bowl" comprising of a main water bowl with two wall (1), an open lid with a semi circle ring(2) which is firmly fitted on top of the bowl, this lid has an open area for the Pet to access to the water, inside the bowl there is a two layers floating disk (3), this disk is floating and freely moving up and down inside the bowl depending on the water level, a rubber ring (4) is mounted outside at the bottom of the bowl.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure I: Shows in perspective the four main parts of the "Anti splash Pet water bowl"-: - The main body of the bowl (1). - The open lid with semi circle ring (2). - The two layers floating disk (3). - and the none slip rubber ring (4).
Figure 2: Shows the cut'section of the whole unit after fully assembly.
The main body of the bowl (1) has two walls: an outer wall (1) and a inner wall (5). The purpose of the two walls Is directing the water from container (6) to container (7), any shock force as kicking the bowl will be transferred from wall (1) to the water in the container (6), then through the inner wall (5), finally the remainder of force will penetrate inside the main water container (7).
The lid (2) has a semicircle tunnel (8) which will catch almost of the splash water and direct it back to the bowl. The round ring (9) in addition to stop water In the middle of the disk (3) from splashing out from the bowl, the open area (10) Is designed large enough for the Pets easy to access the water inside the bowl. To position the lid (2) onto the main bowl (1) there is a thin rubber ring (11) to prevent any leaking water from the bowl to the wall outside of the bowl.
2 The floating disk (3) consists of 2 layers: Top floating disk (3) and bottom floating disk (12). To enable the disk to float there is a Plastic air ring or Foam ring (14) attached to the top disk and four rubber or foam circle (15) attached to the bottom disk.
The floating disk (3) and (12) are floated on the surface of the water inside the bowl to reduce the movement of the water when there is any shock force (kicking) applied to the bowl.
A rubber ring (4) is fitted outside of the bowl, this gives the bowl more grip on the floor surface, and the circular tracks (16) have the same purpose of reducing the bowl from sliding on the floor.
Figure 3: Illustrates the two walls (1) and (5), there are eight slots (22) on the inner wall (5), These slots are the gaps for water transfer from container (6) to (7) or in the contrary direction from (7) to (6).
The inner wall (5) is lower than the outer wall by a different in length (17), this factor is very Important for reducing the water movement inside the bowl.
Figure 4: Shows the outside (with cut section) and the inside of the lid (2). Inside the lid (2) there are four small walls (18), when the water in the main container (7) is moving, the water level in the container (6) start to raise then move up to area (8) of the lid (2), at this point water will divide Into several parts by the small walls (IS), once again this will reduce the movement force of the water flowing in the bowl.
Figure 5: Shows 2 layers of the floating disk: top disk (3) and bottom disk (12) both of them are assembled together by four supporting pin (13).
Bottom disk (12) is made of by clear plastic so the Pets can see the water through the bottom of the bowl, but in fact this layer will lim it the volume of water In the disk (3), there are always have a certain amount of water between disk (3) and (12), just enough for the Pets to drink and also stop any object get Inside the water bowl.
The important factor of this floating disk is that, they are floating on the surface of the water (following the level of water inside the bowl), therefore they will reduce the moving water on the surface and stop them from making the water wave then splashing out from the bowl.
Figure 6: Shows details of the top floating disk (3), there is a large hole (10) for the Pets to access to the drinking area, the water from the container (7) can get in this disk by twelve holes (19) around the disk.
2 3 Plastic air ring or Foam ring (14) attached around the disk to make it floats on the surface of the water. The circle ring (2j prevent water splashing from the container (6) to the neck of the water bowl.
Figure 7: Shows the bottom floating disk (12), there are sixteen holes (20) for water from container (7) to get into the top disk (3). Figure 7(b) shows the position of four rubber or foam circle (15) are fitted underneath of disk (12), these rubber foam will increase the upthrust from the water and resulting in both disk are floating easy on the water. At the middle of the disk (12) there are eight holes (21) for removing any air bubble which are trapped under this disk.

2. An "Anti splash Pet water bowl" as claimed in claim I in which the lid comprises a semi circle tunnel and a round ring around the neck of the bowl, to make room for the raising water inside the bowl to move upward before they are directing back to the main container.
3. An "Anti splash Pet water bowl" as claimed in claim 1 &2 in which the floating disk has two layers, this disk is floating and freely moving up and down inside the water bowl to prevent the water to create the waves before splashing out, the disk always keeps the balanced volume of water on top of the bowl, but it will let the pets see the water through to the bottom of the bowl.
4. An "Anti splash Pet water bowl" as claimed in claim 1,2 W in which the none slip ring at the bottom of the bowl and the circular track underneath of the bowl to prevent the bowl from sliding on the floor surface.
