Abstract

A metal fence post 1 has a back plate 2 against which a fence panel can be located and plates 3 are secured to the front of the post to retain the panel in place, such that the panel may be easily removed for maintenance or replacement.

Description

2351745 EASY POST THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A FENCING POST FENCING POSTS
ARE USUALLY MADE SO THE FENCE PANEL IS FIXED PERMANENTLY IN POSITION. WHEN MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED TO THE PANEL IT CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT AS ACCESS IS NEEDED FROM BOTH SIDES.
THIS INVENTION PROVIDES A POST THAT ENABLES THE PANEL TO BE REMOVED FOR REPLACEMENT OR MAINTENANCE VERY EASILY.
EXAMPLE SEE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS FIGURE 1 SHOWS TWO POSTS WITH A PANEL SECURED IN BETWEEN FIGURE 2 SHOWS FRONT VIEW OF POST FIGURE 3 SHOWS SIDE VIEW OF POST FIGURE 4 SHOWS FRONT VIEW OF PLATE REFERRING TO THE DRAWING THE POST COMPRISES OF A SQUARE METAL BOX 1 WITH ATTATCHED BACK PLATES 2 TO SIT THE PANEL ON. THE POST IS SECURED TN TRp GROUND, THREE LOCKING PLATES 3 ARE USED TO S5C9RP'THE PANEL INTO POSITION. TO PAINT OR REPLACE THE PANEL THE fPATPS ARE REMOVED AND THE PANEL IS LIFTED EASILY OFF THE SUPPORTING BACK RPATES.

  1. 2 A FENCING POST AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1 WHEREIN PLATES ARE PROVIDED ON THE
    POST TO SIT THE PANEL IN POSITION.
    3 A FENCING POST AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1 OR CLAIM 2 WHEREIN FRONT PLATES ARE PROVIDED TO LOCK THE PANEL IN POSITION.
