Abstract

A sanding block comprising a central section 2 to which two outer sections 1 and 3 are connected by hinges 5 and 6. The central section 2 provides three faces which are usable as backing surfaces for an abrasive sheet. Each outer section 1 and 3 provides one face usable as a backing surface for an abrasive sheet and also usable as a clamping surface for holding an abrasive sheet against one of the central section's faces. The sanding block can be used to abrade a single surface and also to simultaneously abrade two surfaces which meet at an edge.
