Abstract

A pot for cleaning paint brushes has a conical projection rising vertically from its base. The cone preferably has a series of ridges running along its surface from the apex to the base to assist in removing paint from the brush as it is rubbed over the projection. The paint runs to the bottom of the pot.

Description

Paint Brush Cleaning Pot A receptacle which will contain white spirit/chemical for cleaning paint brushes.
When cleaning paint brushes they appear clean around the outside, But when dry they often get stiff because they~are not clean in the centre.
The object of this invention is to clean the brush thoroughly, Removing paint/varnish from the centre as well as the outside.
A conical protrusion rises vertically from the base of the receptacle which has corrugated lines running vertically up the cone. This enables the brush to be passed back and forth over the tip of the cone and the corrugations to clean away paint/varnish.
Preferably made from plastic or aluminium, But could be made from anything provided it was resistant to white spirit/turpentine/paint and varnish removing chemical.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIM 1) A paint brush cleaning pot with a conical protrusion rising vertically from the base, for rubbing the paint brush over.
  2. 2) A paint brush cleaning pot as claimed in claim 1 with sharp lines running down the length of the protrusion for scraping paint off.
  3. 3) A paint brush cleaning pot as discribed herein with reference to Fig. 1- 4 of the accompanying drawing.
