Abstract
A card game uses two types of card, one type being in the form of folded pillars (Figure 2) and the other type being a flat base card (Figure 1). The cards are used to build a tower, the game being over when the tower topples. The cards may carry printed matter so that the game may be used as a teaching aid.
Description
Description
The card game"Charlotte"is designed as a fun, teaching aid.
Two types of card are used, folded pillars and flat bases. A tower is built using pillars and bases until it topples. All cards have printed art and design information on them. The method of play differs depending on the number playing. With two players a turn is two pillars and a base card, with three players three pillars and a base is a turn, with four players, four pillars and a base constitutes a turn. Each player takes a turn in rotation, placing their pillars and base on top of the previous players base, with pillars and bases contacting. Each players cards are colour identified.
Rules 1. Each player takes a turn in rotation.
2. A turn is placing pillars and a base on top of the previous
player's base.
3. The game ends when the tower topples.
4. The player who is placing their cards when the tower topples
is the loser.
OR
when playing many games, the player with the highest score is
the winner.
Scorin
Each player only scores with their own coloured cards which have been placed on the tower. First cards placed score one for each pillar and base, second cards placed score two for each pillar and base, third cards placed score three for each pillar and base, and so on. The-player who topples the tower does not count their last cards for scoring. Each player adds their score as the tower grows.
Teaching Aids-Cards as specific sets.
Arithmetic Addition, multiplication and mental arithmetic are used when scoring. Higher scales could be used or cards numbered for additional work.
Reading Instruction and rules, information printed on the cards.
Spelling By placing lettered cards in sequence when building the tower, or making up the highest number of words in a completed tower.
Geography Each card has countries on them with descriptions and culture.
Astrology Star Constellations etc.
Design Colour and shape combinations.
Art Great works of art on the cards.
Cards are designed sets used for many specific purposes covering desired needs, including Publici etc. etc.
Claims (1)
- Claims A simple card game based on two types of card-one folded pillar, one flat base. With pillars and bases a tower is built until it topples. Pillars and bases carry all kinds of learning information, including publicity, design, arts, numbers and letters, constituting many applications as cited in the specification.
